  • Fantastic! Great execution.

  • I would like to know, how much time take you to made this excelent job?

  • @vamaresboy Thank you. :-) Making the entire movie, from getting the idea, writing the script, finding the locations, planning the shoot, finding actors, shooting, editing, making visual effects and composing the soundtrack took us about 9 months.

  • Guys, can someone tell me, how was made this effect at 7:11

  • @NewBubbleGun First we filmed the actors. Then we filmed witthout the actors (in the same take) for quite a long time (about 5 minutes). In After Effects I used the first shot as a "ground layer", rotoscoped the actors, put the second shot below that layer, sped it up and rotoscoped the persons going in front of the actors. I hope this was intelligible. ;-) (it didn't take too long, I think around 5 hours)

  • Brilliant! Amazing and inspiring.

  • I love photography and music. But story in fact is boring and nothing special. C'mon who dreams instead of fighting for your dream to come true. But I can see a really hard job done. Well done! How old are you guys?

  • @darnoc666 Thank you. :-) Our film team is around 17-20 years.

It's debatable, but for this specific short film our intention was not so much the story (although it took us months to work it out) but rather on conveying a specific feeling, the feeling of longing. Therefore it has to be watched in a certain mood. That's why this movie was rather special for us.

  • wow, am speeechless, this is one of the most beautiful art work i have ever seen, you got the story, the feeling the emotion etc, cant describe how good this is, well done beautiful work

  • @bboyb7 Thank you very much! We're so happy when our little movie is able to touch someone. :)

  • This short film deserves a 1000 times more views than it has! It is INCREDIBLE! Keep up the good work!

  • @1400steven Thank you very much. :)

  • Sound sounds very clear and expressive, so what microfone did you use, i dont thik that you used a mic built in camera?

  • @TagoPat Thanks. We used the Rode NTG-2 and the JuicedLink JL-CX211. But for the most sounds we didn't use the sound we recorded on location but recorded them afterwards.

  • wow what camera did you use

  • @thesingingdude1 We used the Canon 550D (T2i) plus the Tamron 17-50 F2.8.

  • What video editing program did you use? and what affects? ..great job by the way, just needs some dialog.

  • @6565250ful Thank you. We used Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Well, I think dialog is overrated. It's about what people feel and do and not about what they say. This movie specifically was intended to convey the feeling of longing which cannot be described in words, so we chose to tell the story without the need of talking.

  • One word, superb

  • exzellente Kameraführung ! :)

  • hey man, it looks very professional, so i have two questions, if you could,, anserw me, please. First, did you have any additional lens, maybe any SGPRO? and second, did you use steadicam, or something like that?

    P.S. WELL DONE again

  • @TagoPat Thanks.

No, we didn't use a 35mm adapter like the SGpro. We filmed with a DSLR (550D), so an adapter wasn't necessary to archive a deep depth of field.

Yep, we used a steadycam (the Flycam 5000). But not very often, mostly we used the dolly or crane for camera movement. In 8:06 you can see a steadycam shot.

  • what for a objectiv you use? :D

  • @TheWB2000 We used the Tamron 17.50 F2.8.

  • What camera model did you use? Great movie!

  • @Yuri0i Hey, thanks. We used the 550D (T2i).

  • Lovely Cinematography! :D

  • Do you shot this with 720p or 1080p ?

Do you flattened the sharpness and saturation on Dslr video setting?

  • @MrAImanx We shot and produced in 1080p. Yep, we flattened the DSLR settings to get the maximum for color correction.

  • thanks for responding to my previous message i would like to know if you are selling anything from your old equipment because i would like to buy something like the mattebox or microphone

  • @blastlaughs Hey, no sorry, currently I'm not selling anything.

  • ohhhh i get it! .... hes a pervert

  • Thought the movie was boring, but great camera. It's funny, I see all these people with really fancy equipment, but, in the end, the story is boring to watch. Makes me realize how important it is to invest your time in your own spirit, instead of technology. Can I get an Amen anyone?

  • @TheCAS1983 I was thinking the same thing as I watched it. Man this guy is talented, and did some amazing editing/effects, but the story was not nearly as good as the quality put into it. Really nice work guys! I was very impressed. I would just get some more interesting material.

  • @TheCAS1983 Amen! Story is most important to a film! If you make it you won't have to worry about technology because it will be provided for you!

  • You're a true professional!

I can't believe this was shot with a 550d... The quality is strikingly rich and top-notch cinematic-like!

You go, boy! Kudos to everyone involved!

  • im speechless. . so fantastic! everything is so smooth! good job man!

Wirklich faszinierendes video!

  • Have share your work with my many online friends and on my network groups.

The old term use to be 'Short Film' but now the more accurate term would be 'short video'.....Strange what time and technology can bring to the screen....I come from a time of film but must say todays digital way of capturing imagery has opened up so many doors for todays so called young 'film makers' even though you will will never hear me using that term.

  • @USAVTN Thank you very much!!! :D Yes, the digital technology offers great possibilities to produce a very high-quality result at very low cost.

  • I'm always looking for great works of art and believe to have found one that fills the bill of being an award winning 'short video' if it has not already done so....Nothing short of a Masterpiece!

  • hi nice short film do you still have your old equipment

  • @blastlaughs I still have a lot of my old equipment but I sold my HV40 and SGpro 35mm adapter in order to film with a DSLR (550D).

  • This sucks so bad. Terrible plot. I just threw up bloody babies in my mouth because i watched this during my dinner. Nice shots though. But this sucks real hard.

  • This is gorgeous! I'm a cinematographer from Virginia Beach, VA (US). What camera and lens did you use for this? Particularly the golden scene in which the run through the field??

  • @FanaticCinematic Thank you! The camera we used was the Canon 550D. Our lens was mostly the Tamron 17-50 F2.8 (also for the cornfield scene) and sometimes the Canon EF 75-300 F4-5.6.

  • @ComPodView This is great!! What software did you use for editing? did you use filters for colours or did you apply them within your software?

  • @richmoumakwe We used Premiere Pro for editing and After Effects for the visual effects as well as color correction. We didn't use color filters on location.

  • (Y)

  • Very good work! All you need is passion to make a movie with a great feeling

  • Congratulations the film capture me from the beginning...

  • And this is the reasong i love film making so much...

  • Der Stoff aus dem Träume sind (-:

  • This was truly amazing.

  • WOAH!! I'm subscribing!

  • Wow!

  • Gute Arbeit, nette Effekte. Weiter so

  • Genial! Tolle Bilder!

  • This is so perfect... I don't have even words to discribe it! man you showed me exactly what i'm feeling... Thank you so much.

  • @SuperJMJS Wow, thank you very much. That's exactly what we tried to accomplish with this movie. :-)

  • @ComPodView Now i am just putting some money together to buy a Canon 600D :D cuz i am gonna take a 1 and a half years course of photography :D

  • @SuperJMJS photography and cinema :D

  • well done! loved it good examples of composition and structure.

  • wow! einfach klasse!!!

  • An welchem Ort wurde die Felsen-Szene gedreht ?

    Benutzt ihr MBL ?

    Gutes Vid

  • @DomcheckProduction Danke.

  • awesome!

  • wow this film looks amazing :D

  • i love this!

  • beautiful, i was stunned when i noticed how young the crew was.

  • Buena pelicula

  • I found this film a little redundnt in places in terms of following the characters, however that said I do not mean this in a bad way either. I thought the filming was very crisp and you capture landscapes and natural beauty of terrain in difficult lighting conditions very well. There is something interesting in the color and light that came through in many of your scenes and I really appreciated that. I was inspired to watch this film after checking out your gear. Very well done! Cheers, IC

  • @IcechickenSr Thank you very much. Yes, screenplay writing and mise-en-scène is something we're working on right now for future films. :-)

  • This was amazing!!!!!!

  • 5:10-5:40 is CRAZYYYYY

Weiter so !!

  • Talent!

  • Great video!, with which camera (and lens) is this created?

  • @remzi133 Thanks, we used the Canon 550D (T2i). As lens mostly the Tamron 17-50 F2.8 and sometimes the Canon EF 75-300 F4-5.6.

  • @ComPodView ok

  • really nice cinematography! good job!

  • Nice film look from digital! I don't know how you pulled off that clock tower shot switching from time lapse to real time.

  • @rwgamer Thank you very much. Yeah, this shot was very complicated and it would take a bit too long to go into detail here but basically the shot consists of three shots: two crane shots and one static shot (the timelapse). There was a lot of transforming, morphing and tracking involved in After Effects in order to make this transition look believable. • precioso!

  • very good work ! congratulation

  • it was too long to keep my attention but i still thought the story was good. i think some natural sound would have helped as well. the soundtrack just seemed to literal at times. still though many good things going on here.

  • Very nice work! I did not think i would watch the whole 17 minutes but I was captivated. Loved your shooting style!

  • ehrfürchtige!

  • Vom Bildher super! Die Story... naja. Wo sind diese Felsen 10:25?

  • very nice film!!! the videography is fantastic

  • i really gotta say... this is one of the best short movies i've ever seen... although there is no dialogue, the film speaks for itself! A fantastic cinematography, beautiful music and a shocking moment before the revealing and wonderful ending...!

I must say, this should get nominated for best life action short at the Academy Awards... honestly...

    :) wonderful film :)

Supergut!

  • Gaaaanz großes Kino! Respekt!

  • Absolutely Superb! The cinematography and scoring are wonderful and very professional. There are several scenes in this short that blew me away. Great job to all who took part.
