I LUV THIS DANCE AND I LUV, LUV, LUV SONYA TEYAH!!!!!!! I went to the Nuvo competition and SONYA was one of our teachers for the convention part. Guess what?!?! Their was about 400-500 people their and well over half was better than my dance studio, and that's saying something!! Each teacher, for example, Stacy Tookey, Sonyah Teyah, Ivan Koumaev, Mark Meismer, and Chebar Williams, picked one person out of everyone ages 6-18 that showed out the most and me, Erin Connelly, was picked by Sonya for

Oh my goodness, Ryan totally ruled in this piece!

It never hit me how GREAT a dancer she was until I started seeing how invested in the character she is and how little nuances she does like her face moving at 2:15, her shoulder roll at 2:10, her sinister smile at 2:23, and her isolations at 2:36. she is truly amazing.

And her zombie dance with Ricky was also great.

@iwillloveyouforever3 That's such an ignorant comparison, and it's the perfect example of someone who views contemporary dance as superior to other genres. She's the only ballroom dancer amongst a group of trained Contemporary and Jazz dancers. None of these girls have performed a Ballroom/Latin routine in S8 to the calibre of Iveta - who is a multiple world champion dancer.

What if there was a Hip Hop dancer like Comfort in this routine? You're full of shit lady.

@missprisss it gives better traction without shoes for spinning and such. With regular ballet slippers and jazz shoes and whatnot, they tend to be slippery and easy to fall flat on your face. lulz.
