Dover elevators are only as good as the technician who made final adjustments after installation.A bad installation means a bad elevator no matter what the manufacturer,Also if the service technician does not keep up on the maintenance of key components the elevator can develop intermittent problems.What scares me is the firemen had a key ring with multiple door picks and door keys which by all means they should not have,they are not Certified Conveyance Mechanics or Elevator Technicians.
