This is kind of...meh. One thing I hated about 80's hair metal is that most of it lacked any concept of subtlety or dynamics...no atmosphere or mood...
Hard to believe this song is from 1976. Sounds ten years ahead of its time. The production sounds very 80s-like. Those drums sound almost electronic, like the stuff that was commonplace around 1986. Actually, I still can't believe it's from 1976.
Well, it isn't from '76. It's pretty obvious that the one who posted this meant '86, or he might think it's from '76, which make him a complete idiot. My guess sticks to the first idea though.
This singer sucks. I could have liked this 80's Heavy Metal version, but this singer ruined it for me. His embellishments are way, way, way over the top. Good God, he should have taken the interpretation more seriously. His vibrato is too much for me. I would have liked to hear somebody like -David Lee Roth? Axl Rose? This singer's voice is too smooth and creamy and too loud in the mix.
hey evolnieveilebi I totally agree, if you want to hear a awesome heavy metal version of this song check out Riots version. Vocalist Rhett Forrester nailed it!!!
The 80s were great!! Hall and Oates, also all the alternative bands that tried out their sound (Blinded me With Science) (One Night in Bangcock) and dont forget the awesome Men at Work... etc. So many good things came out of the 80s. I dont think this particular song or band is the greatest, at least this cover, but most 80s bands were really cool. The Hairbands, the Alternatives, and old school rock were all popular in one great decade. The 80s.
Good song, but it's hard to be objective about it, since they are remaking such a classic. Impossible to top the original in this case.

Great song but not this version, Riots cover of this song on the excellent Born in America album is superior to this. RIP Rhett - you rocked!

Craptastic. Very average songs and nothing special. There were bands that did the same stuff better.
