not sure but i no he mainly uses the century ttr on the field.

whats the rod ,reel & line & lead pref for distance casting & can these items & techniques be applied to actual beach casting, thx

many different rods used to compliment different styles and builds. Main contenders are though zziplex and century, the stiffest of them being the ttr and the m427. I personally use shorter rods like the hst and m4 evo. The lead to to line diametre rules that are used

100g 0.25

125g 0.28

150g 0.31

175g+0.35

As for casting on the beach i cast the same with 150g+ with a standard m4, on clean, mediam ground.

@smoothy666 many thx mate 300yrds i wonder if i can beat that with my 12ft daiwa supercast & abu 6500 c3, i may have to use an 8oz lead though, lol
