If you think that track is repetitive, you obviously didn't hear it all. Because that track changes many times. It's as repetitive as any normal track. It clearly has a start, middle and end. Its end is quite different to the start and middle.

If the fact it has no words bothers you, shouldn't be a reason to call it drivel.

Pachelbel's Canon in D Minor is repetitive in the same manner yet a master piece, And many others. Listen to music without preconceptions. Can't you get that

I understand how you feel. It's a different style of music that most people, especially people not of the current youngest generation, have not had so much exposure it. This music certainly isn't as, say, IDM ("intelligent dance music"), but it has quite a bit of musical value if you look at it in a different than classical way. It's derived from the musical style of minimalism that was developed in the 1960's mainly by Steve Reich. (continued in next comment)

It works with similar kinds of melodies, just those equally complex melodies are considerably slowed down while the beat is not and they are driven by the beat in a considerably more extended way. Minimalism and its derivatives are certainly different from classical styles of creating music, and with only a classical understanding of music it may be hard to interpret fully, but over time it can be understood to its full extent. This is the face of modern music, Trance, formerly know as "High Energy" formerly known as "gay music" etc etc, which ever way you analize it, it's music to enjoy. to get high on, like you said, the beat (or tempo) is high but the feeling is not, you worked it out :)

I have been studying music seriously for many years and I used to feel the same way as you, but I spent a bit of time studying some of the "modern classical music" like Stever Reich and really grew fond of this style once I had a feel for how to interpret it correctly. It takes a more patient interpretation but over time it develops musical ideas that are really very artistic and detailed.
