RIP Peoples Drug, Hechts, Hechinger's, Riggs Bank and all the long-gone DC retailers that got ate up by big nationals..

Later on there was another line, it went something like: "Or if you want, you can get ........."  Does anyone remember the rest?

Yes, back in the day there were Peoples drug stores all over the DC area. I was especialy fond of the one at Wheaton Plaza, back when it was a plaza

Being reminded of this store as they used to have locations in Toledo in the 80's when they bought out a local store called "Lane's". The stores were later consumed by Rite-Aid.
