I have the same challenger, i got it cause its fun to drive... i know its not the fastest car out there, I looked at the camaros too... i didnt like the interior, plus they were like 5 grand more than what i paid, and that wasnt even for the SS camaro. I test drove and M3, M5, a camaro ss, and even a mercedes cl63 AMG. Wanna know whats in my garage. A brand new Challenger SRT8. Why, So what the interior is not as good as the rest. But it was the only car that a. Put a smile on my face the instant I pressed the button. B only car That people actually rolled down their window at a stop light to shout "awesome car" and C has the breeding and legendary power of a hemi, all for less than 50k. Why not?!! Sure I could have afforded a new M, but why?
It depends if it is the inline 6 model of the m3, which is the old one. A challenger could outrun an m3 any day, because the m3 has all of those electronic limiters when the challenger is all muscle, no "are you sure you want to go this fast" it just does it.
When I hear the Words "Bmw M3", first thing that comes to mind is Bmw's great engineering and true performance. Funny how a guy who drives an "American Muscle car" as you potray your car to be is mocking a Bmw M3. The Bmw M3 has it all, wish I could say the same about the Dodge Challanger.

So very confused by this.. to say the person driving an M3 is working in a cubicle. He actually, is most likely the dealer principal of the Dodge dealership where you bought your challenger. Last time I checked the M3 comes in at around $65K not fully loaded, and the fully loaded dodge challenger with the 392 CID Hemi is at $45K. I still rather have the challenger, too many M3s on the road as it is. I think challenger is the best looking redesigned retro out of all the usa autos.
You can see, as my other comments state I dont HATE ANYTHING I like everything. Challenger is a less of a car how? I dont know if interior is what your talking about what? Challenger has comfortable seats, nice handling, didnt really listen to the system but I know that has too be exceptionally well. Both RWD both V8 both top of the line vehicles. M3 twice the price and at least 4x more to fix, work on, etc. I really like BMW's thought about buying an M3 or 328i But in my opinion, not worth it..

The problem with Ricer guys or Euro car guys is they all want to under-estimate muscle cars. First of all you cant put a $58k car against a $42k car, let alone here is an R/T so thats worse, thats a $34k or so car. Euro guys annoy me cause they think they can put oodles of cash on a new car and say that they've got the fastest ride in town without lifting a finger. Put $58k in a stock Euro car vs $58k into buying and upgrading a muscle car, guess which will be a higher performance car at the end

Test drive a Challenger RT and then test drive a 335i and tell me which one you want. Plus, the Challenger RT is mid $30s and you have to get the top RT to get leather. A 128i that starts at $28k has a nicer interior IMO.
If I were considering a Challenger RT I would definitely try to find a used 335i for the same price.

challengers are one of the best cars out there, they get from 0-60 in 5 seconds, which is one second better then the charger AND the viper.

No don't put it in neutral lol. That is a neutral drop and that will KILL your tranny. Just put the car in first gear and push down the brake and the gas until the tires spin then floor it and you will start to spin your tires. And that is how you burn out in an automatic lol.
yeah of course lol just depends on the set up. I have an 03 WRX so I can't really do burnouts because I have too much traction. Sometimes when I really get a good launch I get all the tires to spin but never smoke. I have to do donuts to get smoke lol.
You know i am not all that impressed with the performance of the challengers like the SRT8 425hp and it does a 13 sec 1/4 mile? What the fuck is the that? I have 400whp in my 03 WRX and I run 11.7 in the 1/4. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the way they look but it needs to be lightened up if it is going to compete out there. I smoked my friends SRT8 challenger the other day and he was PISSED because he thought he would win. Don't know why he thought that but oh well lol.

It does not rattle, and is not made of cheap plastic. It has polyfiber durable plastic, yes. But so do bmw cars and even a bugatti has plastic in the interior.
If you said the same thing 20 years ago I would agree with you. But american car companies are actually starting to turn around quality wise.
Companies like mercury, cadillac, and chrysler are actually making cars now that compete with european standards. Look for yourself

@msbaugh440 Yes, I have. They are getting better no doubt. But when comparing to a BMW or any of the luxury brands (like Ratmouth was doing).. Which would you rather have? Test drive a Challenger RT and then test drive a 335i and tell me which one you want. Plus, the Challenger RT is mid $30s and you have to get the top RT to get leather. A 128i that starts at $28k has a nicer interior IMO.
If I were considering a Challenger RT I would definitely try to find a used 335i for the same price.

@azgunz00 I understand where you're coming from... totally. The thing is I have been in both cars. And I own the challenger (I am biased, but I am willing to bet that you are too). The Challenger gets more "wows" from people, Is overall a better looking and sounding car, and is more fun to drive. The bmw is a luxury car. It is in a totally different class than the muscle car. Its like saying that America is better than Britain. You will always have two sides not matter who wins

Guess what, it doesnt even take an M3 to beat one of these. 335i could take the SRT-8 and the 335d could take the RT. No way could it take the SRT-8 though.
Actually a $270 chip came out for the d and 500+lbs of tq and easily under 5 sec. But from a rolling start, it will eat a bunch.
How much torque does that RT have? hmm...

When people with half a at least brain hear M3, they think new V8 and BMW's engineering, it must be pretty quick and luxurious

And for people with half a brain, comparing a $58,000 car to a $42,000 is retarted, if i had $58k to put into an SRT8 i gaurantee you it'd kill that M3

Dont get me wrong Challanger is a realy cool car :) its just that the m3 is completly a diffrent leage. This is a muscle car, and an m3 is a sports saloon with more of the "sport" part in it

challengers are one of the best cars out there, they get from 0-60 in 5 seconds, which is one second better then the charger AND the viper.
however, both of those cars ARE nice, but i'd love to see a challenger supercharged, with zoomers exhaust, hemi engine, and noss. then it might get up to 60 even faster, actually it will:)

No don't put it in neutral lol. That is a neutral drop and that will KILL your tranny. Just put the car in first gear and push down the brake and the gas until the tires spin then floor it and you will start to spin your tires. And that is how you burn out in an automatic lol.

yeah of course lol just depends on the set up. I have an 03 WRX so I can't really do burnouts because I have too much traction. Sometimes when I really get a good launch I get all the tires to spin but never smoke. I have to do donuts to get smoke lol.

You know i am not all that impressed with the performance of the challengers like the SRT8 425hp and it does a 13 sec 1/4 mile? What the fuck is the that? I have 400whp in my 03 WRX and I run 11.7 in the 1/4. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the way they look but it needs to be lightened up if it is going to compete out there. I smoked my friends SRT8 challenger the other day and he was PISSED because he thought he would win. Don't know why he thought that but oh well lol.
