Some people in the Middle East try very hard to have a common understanding with the West, yet many also try to distance themselves more & more because they feel threatened by the Western influence on their lives and religion. I believe this is mainly because Islam is very inflexible when it comes to change unless the change conforms to Islam which in turn wasn't designed to adapt to the change to begin with. Therefore, most of the change that occurs is superficial & not fundamental.
I think the only way to create peace in the world is if we become more SELF CRITICAL. We have become a society that likes to POINT the FINGER at others and blame them. So many times I hear people blame everything on ZIONISM or AMERICA and so on. We need to look at OURSELF, OUR SOCIETY, OUR RELIGION, OUR HISTORY and ask OURSELF are we REALLY better then the people we like to point FINGER at. We need to LOOK at our OWN DARK HISTORY and CONFESS to our SINS. Once we accept OUR SINS then CHANGE.
Well with open, questioning young people like yourself around it gives some hope for the future! You are right, 99% of people around the world are the same and want the same things...I have been to many countries and met many people and have found most of them very friendly and welcoming...Cultural differences make it easy to offend people without realising it so some understanding is required on both sides. You have my full support!
Hello Abed. I agree with you in almost you said. There are certainly somethings i don't agree because we are from two very different cultures. But i know something that is a reality if we want to make the difference we have to start with us. Is truth the media exaggerating the situation because that's the way they can survive. Hope you have a great week.
yes yes i agree with 3abed, the arab media and other medias in the world is brain washing people and bringing only the bad to their eyez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, everyone should be equal, arabs BUT there is always bad people in every culture and in every religion!!!!!!!...we shouldnt judge someone for his culture or religion!!!!!!...peace to all thank uu for ur video!
A lot of my bestfriends are muslims or from Asia, Arabia.
I think that's where you get the best information: through friendship between very different people. I trust my best-friend and she tells me all about her culture and religion. The truth. So i agree with you on the point that we need to connect with people form different cultures. Don't blindly believe the media and what other people tell you! Find the truth about Islam and this culture for yourself.
hey very nice argument. i agree with u in everything u said. western ppl should inform themselves before they criticize the arab world, just like im always informing myself. I also have many arab friends who tell me about the arab world. I think arab culture is amazing in every aspect.. Im latin and i love arab culture. Thanx for this video and thanx Queen RANiA :D
jupp, communication from "face-to-face" is the key of understanding, nowadays we have a lot of opportunities to communicate with each other to set the record straight!!:) (youtube for example;-)
Queen Rania has taken the first step, let us follow!!!
Best wishes to all youtube users from Germany :))
Thank you for your video...communication is a key...I must admit my views of the Arab world is what I have seen on the news and in movies and unfortunately the media concentrates on the negative things about the Arab world.
Yes we need all to concentrate on local issues, with the current monetary climate the west will have to think better of Arab countries and poorer nations, I think the West will be lucky if it doesnt go bust.
Hold on to your values because Biblicaly you are better off, the Kingdom of God is not far off and rewards arefor you being loyal.
Hello. I think the biggest problem is the tension with Israelis and Arabs in the Middle East. Many US media executives seem to be pro-Israeli or of Israeli descent. The Media definitely influences our thinking as they selectively provide us with information. 9-11 has also left us with emotionally scars. You speak English well. Good Luck.
Well done brother. Communication is most important in anything we do in life. This bridging of the gaps between our 'worlds' is very important to advance us from an "us vs them" mindset into an US mindset where we're all looking out for each other.
During my life and this project I've found we ARE all more alike than different. Our differences are small. Language isn't even a barrier anymore. Ask my fiance. He learned English in less than a year. :)
Its nice to have friends from different religions, backgrounds, and cultures. Being different isnt always a bad thing. If you want to be respected you should show some respect. I dont choose friends based on their religion or color of skin, i choose them based on personality!
All people have the save problems and desires, hopes and pains in life. (Like for example the problem of ringing phones during a video recording, haha). We should focus on what people all over the world have in common and not what makes us different. We should NOT give power to people that are intolerant, egoistic, greedy or stupid. We should follow people that preach love, forgiveness, peace, tolerance, freedom of speech and communication. Thank you.
Well, u gave us the solutions to solve this problem: communication. i hope some will follow what u said, i live in france and here, stereotypes are something that people like to live with, for example, some think we can't talk about everything cuz it's forbidden or something like that, but the fact is that we can't talk about anything as long as it doesnt hurt anyone.
It would be a better world East and west if there where more people with a positive attitude like yours..I hope people in you country are proud of you...Pleas do not change bro..
3abeeeeeeeeeeeeed,first it was wonderful to see u ....mashala 3laik...
ur remarks are all great and very imporatant,,u have really addressed some great points that are keys for brdging the gaps.....braaaaaaaaaavo
And thanks for thanking me at the end....really there is no nees to thank my dearest brother...i hope that i can do something much better than what i am doing..
well done video bro!
