  • Superfood!

  • your hair is like my ass tofu man

  • Can you bake it?

  • 1. how long do you press the tofu to drain juices?

followup - can i make tofu completely juiceless?

    2. how long do you cook them for? about 5-10 minutes?

  • is your hair real?

  • @jacobs0469 no. it's a wig.

  • so would u say its better to eat it by itself? cuz ill do that

  • Love the ending! I cracked up.

  • Came looking for ways to prepare tofu, found mainly an ad for hot sauce and how to fry tofu nuggets. Disappointed.

  • @vidfest So sorry you didn't enjoy the episode. I do, however, appreciate the feedback! Best of luck in the search.

  • @danieldelaney > I was a bit harsh. I realized after the fact that you do in fact state the video is "tofu 101" and a fried tofu recipe. I was still a bit disappointed that 25% of it was a hot sauce ad, but you have to pay the bills somehow, amirite?. It actually was very well done and I appreciate it and your reply.

  • @vidfest It says "Easy Fried Tofu Recipe"

  • I am loving your site man. Thanks for the information you are spreading. I am loving it.. Thanks!

  • @ggbay07 Thanks so much!

  • Yay! Gingerbread men made from Tofu :-)

  • @umbalaba Yay!

  • hey Daniel my mom found a dessert form of tofu as you mentioned but this time its mango flavored on its own its okay but made into a smoothie with frozen or fresh fruit its better than just eating it by itself and if you use frozen the custurd form acts like a yogurt and you get like almost an ice-cream consistency good luck :)

  • @sujudbsklover yum! that sounds good - do you like it?

  • @danieldelaney when its on its own not so much but in a smoothie with fresh or frozen fruit works well with it

  • Wow always wanted more things to do with tofu THANX.

  • @TwistedAlphonso1 for sure!

  • I can prepare, cook, serve, and love the smell of meat...but I hate eating it. Tofu is incredibly versatile. It can absorb flavors and cook like anything you want if you know how to :)

  • @vivaDanielle yup yup!

  • Tofu may be well tolerated by the Vegan/Vegetarian cuisine fans, which means they will avoid at any cost, eating meat produce and replacing the protein intake with a block of Tofu. My family is in the Vegan department, however I choose not to become one, but the most used meatless replacement, must be the meatless burgers, which are made out of Tofu.

  • Very interesting! I had tofu once...mom put it in soup when I was younger and tried to convince me it was chicken. That didn't go so well. Now that I know what it's all about I might try it again.

Now I'm off to watch the past 2-3 weeks of WTF I missed while moving...

  • @aglanceatmyworld that's a lot of catching up to do, but i appreciate the loyalty!

  • American Tofu is good, but Chinese and Japanese Tofu seems to taste better. I have tried Stinky Tofu a few times and it was pretty tasty. Although it was deep fried, I don't think I would try the stuff raw.

  • I love the T.O.F.U.! Sliced and baked w/ a little olive oil, pepper & soy. Perfect crispy, salty snack!

  • @margowsky sounds nice!

  • when I was a kid my mom made us go vegetarian for a year and she didnt know how to prepare tofu. Lets just say she traumatised me to the point where I avoid it like its a disease! So far, ive only given another chance to tofu dogs and im still not sure if I like them. I gotta make an effort, I know ^^

  • @PlatypusGuitar you just gotta take the plunge. you cook too much to not be a rockstar at tofu by now!

  • i love mapo tofu :-) its my special food when i do in montreal... that and Bánh mì... and phò.... and damm so many tasty food in the chiness neiborhood T_T

silk tofu is pretty good and refreshing when you make a pudding out of it

  • @TeaIicious yum! silken tofu is great! good AM food!

  • NAH DANIEL! Steaming it and dipping it in fish soy sauce is enough already, no need to fry :D

  • @flyingbeagles haha - a purist!

  • I LOVE SWEET TOFU!

  • @flyingbeagles oh yes - so good. I get it on the streets in brooklyn sometimes.

  • fu too :p.

  • awesome episode! i was actually going to buy tofu yesterday but i had no idea what to do with it... it was also alot cheaper than what i expected, so i guess i will pick it up next time and see what i do with it..

  • @art7s77 awesome - have you gotten some since?

  • Drain and Freeze extra firm tofu, defrost and squeeze out all the extra water and it crumbles great! That's how I prepare it for tofu lasagna or when I'm going to make tofu burgers. Freezing it seems to really help get out the extra water, plus it keeps forever.

Tofu burgers- brick of crumbled/chopped tofu, parm cheese, shredded carrot and whatever seasonings you want, bit of flour to bind. Form patties fry or bake and *BAM* Delish.
