The srt4 can handle up to 480 hp on stock block except people dont tune or dont have the right timing and it blows but its impossible to blow just for blowing im doing 446hp 443tq on a gt30r and never nothing happened boosting 22psi
@razr94 the total hp on a stock srt4 has not been proven yet. ive seen them handle 500 hp with a good tuner but later threw a rode. im talking hp that will hold up over abuse with good tuning. ive seen people agrue 280 hp to 400 hp who knows. I dont personally own a srt4 just see them on dyno and race track and around where i live on the street race scene. I own a dodge R/T truck with KB so I wouldnt know about the little skittle cars. I personally dont like 4dr muscle cars with bumble sounds.

@neonation55 unless you got a big turbo with your rebuild, your not at 380whp.... the stock turbo can't produce that much boost, it doesn't matter if it's rebuilt or not.
@subiebear the car has a stage 3 turbo with 44lbs upgrade wheel and many more done to it..and i know the stock turbo cant haddle over 300 whp if that but now this srt is all fix up and push 400 whp for now
@TeamTOS depending on the mod's you can take a stock turbo just past 300whp, but that would have to be with an external gate manifold, a bored out turbo, a custom tune, and meth/water injection. but by then it's more worth it to go with the delta/zeta turbo's capable of producing 400whp, rather then 300whp on stock turbo.

well the srt is done and runing again now my srt now has 360hp to the wheel ..the car is not tune yet but when i get it tun it will be bout 420hp to the wheel.
360hp to the wheels in a 4 cylinder is impressive. When I get the funds im hoping to put a vengance racing VRX5 cam in. From what I read on the forums I should be around to 430hp to the rear cam only. Im tryin to go N/A just to be different because every car around here where I live seems to be F/I and I want to be different. Maybe later I'll slap some aftermarket heads and some nitrous later ;)

coworker's engine sounded the exact same way, read this, and indeed, after having a look, we fixed it with a 7 dollar bottle of locktight and a gearwrench...awesome...
a buddy of mine had a noise like that swore it was a rod bearing turned out to be the flywheel bolts backed out from what i see its kinda of a common problem might want to look into that hopefully this helps
yeah you spun a rod, just gives you a reason to make it stronger... get a bigger turbo, strap kit, cams and what not and youll be happy. Talk to rage-teck they have some killer motors and there new low compression pistons are sick

Did your turbo blow up? My audi made those weird sounds when the turbo blew up and I had oil in my intercooler pipes. I dropped in a bigger turbo and the ticking sound went away when I topped up the oil.

Thats a normal sound... Just up the boost and the sound will go away. Make sure you floor it at idle for a little bit ti free up the main bearings...
