That crazed look in Johnson's eye is fucking scary. I think we all have an inner-psycho, to some degree, lurking inside of us. Don did an awesome job here of tapping into that. Made me feel like I wouldn't want this crazy fucker coming after me...LOL!
@MpowerdAPE You were a bit harsh, i think he had very decent acting career, his movies are mostly really very good, even if not succesfull (take Tin Cup, film was trashed by the ciritics, but it is very good movie, another example Paradise, Cease Fire or maybe greatest neonoir out there The Hot Spot). In 90s he gain some weight (drinking?) but Nash Bridges was pretty succesfull, (i don't like it too much). IMO he is capable of great awards worthy acting, maybe he will resurrect his career.
@MpowerdAPE No man, u're wrong!! The fact is that Don Johnson has always been an underrated actor..He did many great movies which never got the success they deserved (Cease Fire - which wasn't even dubbed in any foreign language, and came out on screens only in the US - , or this one, or Paradise, or Guilty as Sin, or In Pursuit Of Hono), and everyday I wonder why without finding an answer. Really hope he'll rise up again.
@TheBossjdhogg i wasnt dissing his acting ability, there is no doubt he coulda been HUGE, he's that talented. this scene is a testimony to what could have been. if you're "here" watching"THIS" ... you're old enough to realise that actors have to be lucky, even for those who have already made it. its good we got this much of him, along with miami vice.
@MpowerdAPE I know that it takes a lot of luck to make it, but many actors who have less than a half of DJ's acting ability are always called for playin' roles they can't even play, and many directors and producers ignore that there are actors which are sooo underrated but really talented. This shit pisses me off. If u want another example, watch some things David Hasselhoff has done (not only Knight Rider or Baywatch, I mean..) and tell me if he deserved some more attention or not..
I think this is my all time favorite movie scene. It speaks volumes to how hard it can be to just cut out the crap at times. Poor Mr. Noodle! I like all of Don Johnson's characters. He's very artistic yet macho
Woody Allen!!! aahahhahahah Don Johnson's a goddamn genius, much better than many other actors (expecially new ones) that get much more important roles than he did and currently does..
lol ahahahahhaa Don Johnson's a motherfuckin' genius, I keep wonder why Hollywood didn't count on him for big roles in many other movies where he'd have fit in real good..I love all of his movies, and this one's one of the best he ever did..
one of the many little gems in this movie, this and a few others MAKE this flick. i suggest everybody get it and watch it. don johnson CONVINCES in the down and out cop routine, one of the best of the 80's-90's cop movies. right up there with mel gibson in lethal weapon.IMHO.
One of the best scenes in a great movie. The cop knows that he is committing "career suicide" with every laugh, but he can't stop. Each giggle is a nail in the coffin. (But he and the "Shrink" reach an understanding in the end).
This Movie is up there with the likes of the Dirty Harry movies and the movie Bullitt.Very underated movie for its time in the 80s.take a look for yourself.Great Music score too 11out 10 4 me Don Rules Australia .....
Hey!
Do you have the ending scene with the music?
Thanks.

@MpowerdAPE better than Lethal weapon. And no redundant sequels either. This cop film ranks up with the original Dirty Harry.
