Import books into Aldiko: Android

Hi again, in one of your steps you say drop after mounting....how do I mount?

@jogados Mounting is essentially opening your SD card on the pc

I didn't download aldiko because my Samsung Galaxy S already had it....I did everything else and converted the book into .epub, and he is still importing it.....is it normal? I think it has been over 10 minutes now...what should I do?

@jogados I believe this depends on the size of the book. If its still importing for quite a while try restarting, deleting and reimporting it. Also the newer versions of aldiko do not require conversion, it suppoorts multiple formats.

Tablet users if you're pulling out your hair like i was because you are completely lost and extremely confused, here is a simple guide.

Step 1: Download Alkido app from andriod market

Step 2: Sync device

Step 3: Drag and drop all your epub files from your PC onto "ebook(s)" folder in your directory

Step 4: Open Alkido on your device

Step 5: Tap on home icon in top left corner

Step 6: Tap SD Card, scroll down and tap ebook(s)

Step 7: Tap ebook you wish to import, tap import, and enjoy.

@jgperez94 pdfs are a form of ebooks. most ebook readers use the .ebup format, but aldiko can read .pdf and .epub if you need to convert, try calibre

I've downloaded a .epub file and put it eBooks/import/Author/Title/

But aldiko just refuses to find it. Am I doing something wrong?

@ereruh Just place it into ebooks/import/[epub here]

dont place any more folders in, aldiko sorts it out when you import them. :)

hey i downloaded a ebook did as u showed after importing when i open the book n theres just a blank white screen

i just copied the .epub into sd card/ebooks/imports ( i created the ebook folder )

u copied it somewhere else didnt u ??

@acid9757 If the book successfully imported it may be that your looking at a blank page, try swiping forward a few pages.
