Because I watch the Pantamit TV (ASTV) every day and I know the new politic which they are talking about is similar to communist where Lao people had experience before. i also watch ASTV and they didn't say a thing about setting up a communist government. Use common sense man, there're differnt social class in thailand (Hi so, middle class, poor.. etc), that means communism wouldn't work in the long run. Besides, if they wanted to communism, there wouldn't be this many pantamit protesting becuase no one like communism anyway. All they want is to get rid of this corrupted governemnt and elect a new prime minister who will actually improve this country.

What do you expect? pantamits are also humans, not robots. They have emotions and feelings. Most of the times they talk politely but sometimes informality is heard because of human emotions. Besides, this would help audiences not get bored. For human beings to protest day and night for almost half a year now, it is impossible for them to not say a single bad word.

Thaksin 's administration did weaken the Thai. The research, done by one of the leading universities in the US with TDRI of Thailand, shows thai people, especially in ISAAN, have more debt because of Thaksin's populist policies. During Thaksin 's administration, the commission collected by the politicians for any project bid with Thai governemtn went up from 10% to 30%. Thaksin's companies gain more advantages than other companies. This is monopoly. All in all, Thaksin is bad for the Thai.

In my opinion what Thaksin has done for the poor is a drop in the bucket comparied to what he has done for himself at the expense of Thailand. How much has he paid in taxes toward the sale of Shin Corp? Did I mention the Ratchadapisek land deal?

nah I disagree, than again I can't speak for all the villages. I can only speak for my grandmother home town and when I am driving through Thailand I can see many road construction. Thaksin got Thailand out of the financial crisis. They need to stop protesting and let the government do their job and wait for the next election. Putting the government on handcuff is not the right way, let him prove himself, its been only 5 months, the economy is bad worldwide not just Thailand.

THe government won by votes, Sondhi the leader of protest wants to win by force. Stop it with the propraganda of vote buying, do you really think they have the money to buy all Thais, TRT did it by developement with good social programs for the poor. Yes the Hi So in Thailand always talk down to them, but not Thaksin he is for helping the poor and that is why lots of poor vote for him, because lots of them have jobs and business now because of him. Exp: Rice buying porgrams, built roads, etc...

They have business now, I saw it from how it begun to about 10 years later. Like the lottery before it was all underground, you can't stop lottery addiction so Thaksin made it legal control by government. The TRT government took the money and pave roads, clinic in every village, 35 baht healthcare. I guess I saw the difference and how a lot change under TRT. They are always saying TRT voters are poor and stupid, that is false, TRT won by helping the poor. Sondhi want to forces laws.

They cheat at everything and always find a law that would protect them from the judicial court. One example is the election. A clean election according to the law does not involve giving money to civilians and coerce them to vote for that party.

The problem is that the people in general do in fact respect the law while the leaders of governments do not, while hoping the people remain docile. Look at my country (USA) our leaders deserve to be brought to the world court, and our citizens sit around doing nothing to protest their illegal activities (Iraq War, wire tapping, the list is long) I am proud of Pantamit and their willingness to stand up and say enough.

I think the detail people should note is that Sondhi is not pursuing a political career and this Pantamit protest is funded by public donations. If anything, Sondhi is hurting financially. I think if you study Thai media and compare the mainstream with what ASTV has offered you'll note that the investigative reporting is very good and reasonable. This is unlike the media repression during Thaksin's era. Many Thai people think protests "do nothing"---PAD however is offering information.
