My 3.0 liter V6 Turbo in my heavier 9-5 gets 23 mpg, i drive highway and city daily, and it has a good ride, and it is very fast, and it handles fantastic. This guy obviously drives a BMW and thinks nothing else can beat it and he felt threatened by the Saab's performance. the one thing I do agree is I can see a small bit of cheapness in the interior. But Saabs are great cars.
Man he got everything wrong, I wonder who paid this clown?
Not once did ihe say was it automatic or stick?
He must of been a first time test driver...No crap a saab is Quirky, that is what love about mine. I got a 03 ARC fully loaded and love it. The only problems I had is the one headlight (mositure gets in there) But it turns heads Steal grey Metalic and getin BSR soon, so I can get the times down to mid 5's 0-60
well from personal experience the epa estimates on the window sticker were inaccurate. I found that if 1/3 of my miles are highway and 2/3 are city, I get 20 mpg (so any more highway driving yields well over 20). My highway only route gave me 26+ mpg (with 28 mpg if I did the speed limit). My 2006 9-3 2.0T 210 hp got about 3 more mpg in all of the cases described above. So I think the Aero numbers are good for a v6 turbo. The guy in this video just drove this car too hard. Hope this helped!

Not sure but its WAY better than what this clown said! He was driving it to the max so the consumption was terrible. If you just cruise around you should get about 20mpg city and way more highway.
they were the first carcompany to put a turbo in a regular carmodel and then put it in production, so you could almost say they invented the turbo for cars!
To Limacs, you are just another trash talker. prove me if i'm wrong. with a video. if you really can afford a $150,000 car. why cant u afford a camara recorder? upload your super car on youtube. provide us with a link so we can see instead of just hearing your random bull shit.
to Limacs.. if u have a better car than this.. prove it to us with a video. if u cant then you are just like those other jealous bitch who'd just whine and have absolute no idea wat you are talking about.
I don't give a crap what you think, but you probably drive a Camry or you're a ridiculously rich asshole who thinks that any car worth less than $150,000 is crap. Have fun getting your car scratched.
heavy on front tires... well.. some say saab cars "eat" front tires.. We've had two 9-3s so far, 1st a 1.8t and 2nd a 2.8T V6, both front and rear had nearly exact amount of rubber left, normal for a FWD, and we don't only cruise around! ;) The V6 btw i wonderful! :D I rec. AT, it's worth the bit incr. fuel consumption! promise!
I drive saab for over 10 years... the speaker in this movie has no idea where saab stands for.... typical bmw drivers comment....

fuel economy isn't that bad you know for a turbocharged 2.8L V6....I got 15.35 MPG on my 2.0L 4cyl turbo 9-5 linear....thats worse for the ratio.

poor saab. Hope their fortunes improve.

SacreDro 2 years ago
thebiffenator,
You should watch the review closer, he mentioned the gear ratios are odd and you can see shifting in parts of the video.
It is a manual vehicle.

saab did not invent the turbo. turbos have been around for decades. they just use it the best.

True, Saab got its turbo technology from Scania when Saab and Scania were one company.

The last two bad points are already no longer present in the new XWD. Saab rocks!!!
