I wonder why the 510 never burnt my skin? I wonder if they were selling low resistance atomizers with them back then?? I remember getting a yetti back in 09 and it would definitely burn me.. But my new 510 I just bought around 3 weeks ago never heats up.
Hey man. Okay i bought the Yeti from ALTsmoke.com Ive had it for almost a week and it has never heated up on me. Idk tho maybe i just got a new model since this vid is over a year. I agree that the carts are awesome, but the battery does last a pretty long time for me. About 4-5 hours per battery. Tons of vapor and tons of flavor. Good review man but you should get one from altsmoke and do a follow up on this. Mine has been a champ and comes with 2 ats and 2 batteries. carts ect. Check it out.

Thanks for your input CalisCool. I have been using the 510 atomizer exclusively for the last 8 months since this video, love it... and it still gets hot. It's built into the design of the atty to burn hotter in order to produce thicker more flavorful vapor.
I would suggest getting the usb passthrough when you are at home because I find my hits are always great! Plus you save you battery life for the other batteries for when you are working or out and about.
A was a little surprised when i saw this video and you said the atomizer get very hot. I have never had that issue with my Joye 510 (Black). Then I saw your follow up to this follow up and was glad you bumped it up to an A. I agree this is an AWESOME E-cig. But the only thing strange is i take HUGE drags sometimes and never had a heat issue. But either way thanks for reviewing. keep up the good work :)

I just got my 510 today and i ordered high strength carts by accident so i tried it out using the high strength cart and i got a massive head rush and it wasnt very enjoyable is this normal?? i was thinking i should get some low strength now instead

you should just install a aftermarket receiver since you already opened everything up.... and yes my janty dura-c is serving me well for the last 3-4 months without a problem and still loving it.
I am definitely not having the negatives you are having with the 510. I have been using mine for 3 weeks. I even switch atomizers from day to day depending on the juice I'm using. It has never gotten really hot and I always take long drags, 4+ seconds. My battery also rarely runs out on me, I charge it every evening and it lasts most of the day until I get home from work and put on a fresh battery or use my pass through. You may have received a bad or fake 510.

I was smoking the 510 for a week and i had the worst experience of my life. finally by the end of the week the atomizer was burned and i had to replace it. (Totally Wicked) had no objection on the replacement. I think the new one will be use with more caution and less of a drag. Overall it does produce a good hit but the it smells like burning vapor. So be wise and make a smaller drags. Peace!

possibly , i learned from "Raltenbach" that the key to success with the 510 is shorter draws , i count to 5 in my head when taking a drag... and even though it feels like it's to short , because i have been trained to take as long a drag as possible on my penstlye... it's not , really a 5 second drag is all you need. I'm getting great flavor , great vapor , and no more burning hot atomizer. Give it a try
Thank you thank you thank you.... I tried it, and it worked. I was definitely taking LONG STRONG puffs. Probably cuz I was used to the reddraggon. The red draggon is pretty good, but you have to suck your brain out to use it, so I just had to modify with this. Been using the short drag method all afternoon, and it's working. So thank you for saving me from a $150 mistake! I now LOVE the TITAN, too! Everyone buy it, you'll love it!
I'm not sure if 510 atoms have changed much in the few weeks since you received one, but the "titanium" yeti I received from the smoke safe just gets pleasantly warm. Maybe I'll post a video of a dozen drags followed by touching it to my face. Maybe consider having yours replaced?

I did put one against my face, probably wouldn't want to put it inside a mesh/gym shorts pocket right after vaping it. My TW 'Titan' attys don't seem any different than the other half dozen generic Joye's, besides the band of course. The attys are definitely warmer than others, maybe it varies a bit on juice or battery, just not quite 'OMFG hot' to me :-)

Automatic batteries have an air flow sensor in the battery that activates the atomizer when you draw air through it. A manual battery has a physical button on the battery that you press to activate the atomizer

I've never had a problem with the heat actually. But I have had melted carts, but that's only because I let the cart run dry.

Hmm, i gotta say. The atomizer on my black 510 doesn't get hot at all, a little warm sometimes but nothing even approaching unpleasant.
Maybe i don't take as big a drag as some people, i try and limit mine to about 3 seconds.

supposedly, some of the new PCC's have the slot built in for the manual switch.
I can only compare my 510 to the Vapor King I had briefly, I like the 510, mostly for the manual battery, it handles like a Ferrari.
