  • "Brilliant" !

  • A wise tempo and plenty of control here; many thanks.

  • Outstanding! Most performances--including recorded ones--of this piece are less than persuasive. This has drive, clarity and even elegance---as well as the requisite fire!

    Bravo...and thanks.

  • Another grand recording of this piece by Jongen is on a CD recorded by organist Marsha Heather Long at the Cathedral of St. John the Devine, NYC. On the KOCH International Classics label. CD # 3-7008-2H1. Awesome CD entitled "Romantic French & German Organ Music". Check it out!

  • Wow! Haven't heard this piece in many years. I took a brief crack at it back in the early 70's. Now, hearing it all these years later, it's still a daunting undertaking.

  • Overpraised. There are some messy bits.

  • Fantastic command performance with the brilliance and facets of a diamond in the sunlight. No other organist has the technique and mind to play the D flat maj. Toccata with this electrifying drive. The Jongen is notorious for being a muddled wash of notes in every other performance. The spaces between the notes are as important as the notes themselves. Just like the release is as important as the attack of the key.

    Dr. Roger Nyquist, Bravo!

  • WOW!!! Totaly wild and you went totally wild with the pictures and I am totally listing this and I should totally stop using the word totally!!!!!!!!!!!!! man spacin' 'n trippn'man!!!!

  • Incredible playing of a most difficult piece!

Worthy of the highest praise is Dr. Nyquist's musicianship in this stunning rendition of an all-too readily dismissed piece, which is frequently confused with the Toccata from the Symphonie Concertante, which exists in solo arrangements. This is a real Jongen organ piece played by an organist/musician who observes the composer's specific (yet vague) instructions regarding tempo.. Please refer to the last page of the score for these.

  • This playing is so technically and musically brilliant that the composer's voice comes through with crystalline clarity. Absolutely world class execution of an excellent work. Bravo!

  • Excellent...

  • As ridiculous as the montage of pictures was, the playing was excellent! lol Well done :-)
