  • Was originally built by Hiller aviation in the 50's.

  • Sounds like a pissed off lawn mower.

  • Yeah, this seems like a waste of fuel, and time, and money. But whatever floats your boat.

  • Hey everyone look... a human sala shooter.

  • Interesting, will this possibly be offered to the public? Little really new about it though,it's just the Hiller flying platform from the mid 50's. The military has looked into many versions of these but from what I've seen and read, the limitations on them were too many in comparison to their capabilities.

Still, to offer it to the public would be another thing.

  • New video site at--> gomusictv.info

  • Yuri Prime ain got shit!

  • in USSR this aircraft named Turbolet

  • Flying platforms are not stable, center of mass too high. Neil Armstrong had to ejected once.

  • @dvh065 I agree, this is dangerous way to die.

  • Its ground effect hovering not flying.

  • In windy weather will be much more funny.

  • fake

  • At the end he starts to get higher then it cuts off! Stupid

  • humans...

  • it's not Flying , It's just Hovering !

  • looks like a giant pc fan:D

    great work

  • Have 2 parachutes .. one for you and one for your flying machine. Have a balloon take you to altitude .. release balloon and see how this behaves at altitude. Practice recovering from an inversion. Alternatively, have a cantilevered hook overhanging the Grand Canyon. Some such post-flight hook-up scenario. Save on a having to have to carry a big chute (added weight) for the machine. Don't forget yours tho!

  • What the Douche'???

  • ...and the point of this thing is ... ? ... To annoy your neighbours?

  • Life insurance ?

  • yup you stand above the thousands of rpm rotors...

  • the behind the scenes footage of "Mexicans from space"

  • This is a Hiller platform, belive firt show's in the 50's

  • Then what../???

  • Introducing the new Flying Toilet. Where you can whipe ur ass in mid air!

  • I want to go to work with that thing!

  • Lunar lander from Black Ops!!

  • use the lander!

  • We all know that this is old technology. If you dont think we cant travel without machinery then keep watchin those james bond movies.

  • fucking terrible and take that as a compliment as it is a billion times better then the bullshit I have seen on here tonight thanks and good work or something :)

  • @TheJoseHorse BEST COMMENT EVER!

  • Is that above ground effect? Nice work.

  • LOOK in the middle on the left at 1:16 there is a guy who beats and kidnaps a little kid child

  • Nice, you invented a way to fly a ventialation rotor. lol.

  • Esse burro vai revulucionar o trasporte aereo com essa imundicia

  • rofl

  • ONE step to recycle!Good advise,stay put!

  • dear santa..

  • @nonginger "i hate Santa he brought me coloring book this time "

  • I think these big ride ventilator is very nice for cutting my house grass !!! ;)

  • What a noisy contraption. They're still using a motor and propeller blades. They should try using a turbine engine instead. It will lift 35 times its own weight.

  • I can see why it is called the hummingbird, you can hardly hear it at all... oh wait my volume is down, damn that is noisey as fuck.

  • WHy can't they get off the ground like in the 50's?

Seems like they wasted a lot of time, must've been very disappointing.

  • @ConnecticutSavvy In this case either not enough power or there is an insurance problem about experimental craft of this type. In 1955 you built for the Army not for private usage. I have noticed a lot of the hover tech craft either had a cable to make sure it didn't crash or low hover to make sure damage or injury was as low as possible. However this particular design which looks exactly like the Hiller which had a service ceiling of 35 to 40 feet.

  • I love how the dude in the back is so nonchalantly picking up wood or somethin in the background. I'd b like SUPERVILLIAN HOVER THINGY FTW

  • Future car so that you can avoid speed bumps man I hate those things

  • While walking around the yard looking at the barbed wire, prisoners have dreams of one of these.

  • deaths awaiting

  • Is that daft punk flying that thing?

  • ha-ha fantastic

  • Sounds like a Bumblebee on steroids!

  • wow, a flying bathtub!

  • lol that thing looks Soooo gay, dude!

  • a janitor on top of a giant leaf blower..BOOYAH!

  • my god, somebody is going to die!

  • This is nothing but a copy of the Hiller Flying platform built back in the mid 50's, but not a very good copy. The orginal had a ceiling of 5,000 feet and was very stable with a flight range of 50 miles. The two counter rotation props at the bottom made it stable that it could not flip much like a gyoscope. The army gave it a thumbs down because of noise, but at one time the forest service considered it for search and rescue as well as fire service.

  • It has its uses I see the bloke in background 1.14-1.25 picking up the trash blown to the gutters. mmm might just have invented new stadium cleaner!!!

  • Now that's just a disaster waiting to happen!

  • fly and do your laundry at the same time.

  • Don`t Slip.

  • Oh boy, late for work again, now if I can just get it to go in 'that' direction, oops, no, yes, no, oh boy.

  • I hope his job and his house are across the street from each other lol

  • @christopherjc Hilarious lol.

  • cool a flying fan with shopping cart wheels

  • It is time to ressurrect the hiller flying platform! Go to google and search for 'kickstarter skyfly'.

  • Dr. Rafi Yuri....

  • Is that an attempt to recreate the early fifties Hiller VZ-1 Pawnee? Not bad... I like the eighties Williams X-Jet better though. Peace.

  • Would this go higher or just scared to?

  • Hahahaha, I can hear the Koreans now.

도대체 무슨 소리인가?? = What the hell is that noise??

  • Add some technological advancements, some cool electrical lighting and you have TRON come to life! :)

  • its the reason behind the flying mexican humanoid sightings!!

  • Landscaping is going to be such a fun job one day.

  • Are those buggy wheels?

  • @mlk1cds Straight from Walmart

  • all the sudden he falls through and becomes the worlds first blended human.

  • @CoLaKi1992

WITH THE WAY THE HORROR TALEBAN OPERATE NOT LIKELY!!!

  • @CoLaKi1992

    TO BE THE FIRST!

  • what about a flying jacuzzy :P

  • Copy of the Hiller Flying Platform VZ-1 Pawnee built and flown in 1955. Except this one does not seem to be as well made.

  • Flying Platform - Personal UFO > hummingbird

  • A lav bowl would look way more stunning than this flying bath tub! ))))

  • HEY MAMA CAN I USE THE LAUNDRY MACHINE TO FLY TO ?? !! CAN I CAN I !!

  • yikes! can anyone say unstable?

  • Just like Johnny Quest!

  • I'll blow all my leaves into my neighbors yards. Problem solved...lol

  • grazy stuff :)

  • it is so cool :D wish they were

    1. legal to use

    2. not TO Expancive

    3. a pretty flight time, anyone know how long it flew / Can Fly ?

  • So what happened? Why aren't we all flying around in these things?

  • @matrags they are a little too noisy

  • @Mr41432 WHAT DID YOU SAY???

  • Anybody know the manufacturer's data? Address, web, etc.?

  • Does it have a gyroscope?

  • looks more like a hovering platform. do they make one that goes places?

  • Now that looks very unstable. Pilot needs a very calm touch.

  • *snigger*

  • And when it tips over....

  • this looks like an idiotic device

  • Future... This thing was designed in the 40's...

  • enemies ng MGS3 : Snake Eater have these :D

  • Nice blower. The parking will be kept clean from now on.

  • what? that thing is fuckin sweeeeeeet

    lol

  • Just imagine if you slip and fall towards the propellers. Ouch.

  • the future of shopping trolleys has arrived

  • It's still quieter than most leaf blowers, and does the job better.

  • poor bastard test pilot must have been shitting in his pants. if his foot were to slip he's gone. they should have him sitting and protected. lower center of gravity and short stubby control surfaces new lightweight materals could make this work pretty well. you'd get tired of holding on like that quickly

  • Ye old Flying Saucer! Great = 5*!

  • that thing sucks compared to the wasp

  • Look, Ma--a giant, flying cuisinart!

  • Copy of the Hiller Platform built in the mid 1950's.

  • yea.. i really wanna stand on top of a woodchipper.. wtf?!

  • But you gladly sit in a metal box on four wheels and let yourself be propelled to speeds that can make a pancake out of you. And they often do that to many people. Nice. Just keep following the herd...

  • this is exact what I wanna make.

  • would make a great street cleaner.

  • Hummingbird Flying Platform this is one shitt invection hahahahahahah very bad fuck !!!!

  • there are two fans inside of the chamber one spinning left and one spinning right thats what keeps the rotation still.

  • they have things like this in star wars i think :p

  • Hi, all things are possible that we can dream up because we can only imagine what we have been exposed to . The rub comes when we must pay the price . Famous last words, "Watch This" , have been on the lips of many a fine showman.

Happy Hunting ; 007 Wing Man.

  • It's not fake you dumbass, look it up.

  • no i have a book about failed aircrafts its not fake juust not succesful due to lack of speed altitude

  • we do stupid things. really.

  • im surprised it doesn't spin around like a helicopter with no tail rotor

  • perhapos they use two rotors goin different directions

  • well yeah that would be the only way i could imagine it to stay rotation free, i guess thats where yaw control comes from as well then.

  • It has two main rotors spinning in opposite directions

  • After WW2 America 'enlisted' the brains of captured German scientists (Opperatio nPaperclip) developing much better models more than 50 years ago..

  • @Kenabis82 Exactly!!! My question has always been,....where is all the technology and all the equipment from all those many years of studies and research?????? That,...that is a very good question I feel!

  • @44skins Knowledge is power my friend and the 'bad guys' IE the people that bought America (international bankers) will not allow this to be 'free knowlege' Look up -President John F Kennedy Secret Society Speech- its the one that got him killed.

  • @Kenabis82 and it goes on, msg me if you need any more info truth seeker

  • @Kenabis82 WOW,...That speech was really telling. One has to be really stupid not to see what he was talking about. I am amazed that there is still people who think little ol' Lee Harvey Oswald did the whole thing! Geee whizzzzz! Thanks so much for the info.I know all about the Builderburgs and Illuminati. I know they run the military. So, they are sitting on all the "toys!"

  • @44skins

    uhm...its Bilderberg. :)

  • @44skins "Its dissenters are silenced not praised"

  • @44skins 1961 speech Eisenhower Warns us of New World Order

  • thw wasp is way better than diz crap!!

  • The Soviet Union used jet engines in those flying platforms.

  • I don't believe you

  • 50 years later and hiller platform looks way better... what a waste of time

  • Look like one of those flying platforms from Johnny Quest

  • How come this thing is so big and clumsy looking yet the Williams Arial Platform is much smaller but yet flies higher and faster?

  • Hitler used one of these in WWII. the crazy man tested lots of things. including something much like this.

  • it´s like riding a blender... these guys have balls...

  • I can't even begin to imagine how much power that thing needs to lift itself AND a human standing on top of it.

  • Its actually quite low, the specially shaped duct will produce about 60% of the total lift by aerodynamic effects.

  • no offense bu its kinda big

  • cool wow let see, what I do if I have one of this, fly it in font of my house?

  • LOL

  • hope he doesnt fart!

  • This would be more stable if the pilot was underneath.Lower center of gravity etc.You could still have the pilot on top but you would need a larger diametre platform with co-axial blades spinning opposite directions. These go way back to the 50s.

  • hahaha yeah man, lets see what happens to the pilot when he is under it..

  • Oh I should have mentioned if the pilot was underneath to have long stilt like legs with landing pads or feet.Which would hold the Platform when it lands. I was mainly refering to the low center of gravity problem of having a pilot standing on top. With a height of 6 feet and 200 pounds making it wobble. If you look at the twin ducted fans that engineers are working on now.The fans are at neck level with the pilot dangling. This is the plume idea.

  • great idea

  • its like standing on a giant fan

  • Looks like a death machine to me...

One wrong move and your pile driven into the ground.

  • That shit is so right....pull his head out of his chest...lol

  • you know what i'd do..

i'd go full throtal fly up to the clouds then go upside down till im close to the ground and land perfectly :o

  • Looks very unstable, the pilot's having to constantly shift his weight around to keep it straight.

  • weak

  • i saw those in a sharper image magazine for 15,000

  • this is made in israel

you can see a SUBARU at the back:)

  • i didnt realize this was a civilian design.yeah that kinda makes it a little cooler.lol

  • i'd go to the pub on it

  • dont drink and... hover..? lol

  • looks scary

  • why are they going backwards in the wasp design?????isnt it supposed to go faster higher and sleeker??what the hell is this piece of shit!!??

  • dddreptiles, I'm sure you could build something better right? These are average people building their own machines. They're not the government with huge budgets to build their own W.A.S.P. Give them a break.

  • this is cool but not as cool as the wasp x jet, the x jet looks like it should be on Endor with scout troopers flying it.

  • forget being under that thing when its flying lol

  • @ronburling Thats its main weapon, you land on your enemy, turning them into a smoothie.

  • Copy of the Hiller flying platform of the 1950's that the army experiomented with. That I think had a much higher ceiling.

  • haha. sucking the breathing space from the guy's standing position xD

  • Completely impractical, but fun.

  • No, it's real video, no dirt being kicked up because the ground is clean. Look at the shadow, moving with the vehicle. It's real. No big flipping deal, but it's real.

  • What could possibly ever be the application for this? Seems like a complete waste of time and money.

  • there should be more dirt being kicked up

paper flying you know shit like that

  • It never occured to you that they might have fired it up prior this test? That should clear the dust up pretty good.

  • And 1 more thing dont you think that guy in the background would be more interested than just being a passer by.
