@RebBaronPools The statements I made are common knowledge. The salt systems require a tremendous amount of stabilizer or "conditioner" as the chlorine you are creating is unstabilized. The chlorine you purchase at a retail store is stabilized chlorine. Also, the salt system requires a large quantity of processed clean salt. This is not free as well. You also have to do the same weekly's(algaecide, clearifier, shock, PH adjustment). Salt systems create chloramines.(bad) And salt is corrosive.
Salt systems create equipment failure, and more sales for swimming pool retail stores. Salt systems do not save the home owner any money at all. They actually cost more than using regular chlorine. They also create a very poor quality of water. The water quality in a salt pool is far worse then a regular chlorine pool.
@6sparked9 Some of the largest ioniser companies have been sued for millions for making false claims that ionisers are a chlorine replacement. No product on the market is a replacement for chlorine.
Ozone generators come close. Ioniser's don't impress me sorry.
@RedBaronPools Actually, if you do the proper research, the Eco Smarte system does in fact replace chlorine with a more effective means of sanitation. The ionization process puts ionic copper into the water, this is only part of the system. The oxydation part is the key to its sucess. Ozone and UV systems do need chlorine to do a 100% job, Eco Smarte is the only non-chlorine system that works on the market. Please educate yourself before you debate a topic.
@RedBaronPools This product is not my own, I just use it, and love it. They are world wide, and have been accepted by many municipalities as a public drinking water treatment system over chlorine. I do not know what the Australian standards are, and thus do not know if they do or not. I believe that the dangerous, and corrosive salt generator systems that are now illegal in LA were developed in Australia? Not a great place to get your standards

These are facts, I am sorry that you do not like that. The non chlorine Eco Smarte is a great product that works very well. I urge you to try it, or at least swim in someone's pool who has it. Australian standards require a residual level of chlorine. Your product is illegal in Australia.
I'm guessing you also believe salt chlorinators cause cancer and were responsible for the holocaust as well.
If your unit was a good product it would be successful on it's own merit without your need to bag the competition with false claims.
