I just watched the anime movie(あしたのジョー2), and I must say, it's the most saddest story I have ever seen. It's sooooooo sad and manly. Yes, more manlier then chuck norris. Watching the final fight made me angry because of whats going to happen. when it happened, I had goosebumps because of everything joe did: the final thing he said to yoko, the outcome of the fight and what joe thought to himself as his burning flame is about to go off ... it was perfect..... I couldn't ask for a better ending.
@MoliYabuki something you might not have realized. joe's name is romaji for jaw, which makes his name a pun. Funny thing about jaw in the boxing world...(you should know by now so I wont explain. also, since your a fan of ashita no joe as well, you might have seen hajime no ippo, which is a good beginners tutorial in the professional world of boxing....in an over exaggerated COOL way.)
@pureathlete89 lets hope it gets subbed first. saizen is so slow. they dont realize that other people are subbing rainbow, yet they're still subbing it instead of ashita no joe. its crazy. If you're an English speaking person, you should check out "Project Bite Me" since the group subs the manga. they're way pass saizen's subbing crew(makes sense since translating manga seems way easier then subbing) the guys are currently up to chapter 6.
For a man to die living his dream always seems to bring a tear to my eye. It shows that they reached their dream and have fully reached a critical point to where they can die peacefully.

何度観ても聴いても、泣けます。
「立て!立て!立つんだ、ジョ~!」
私自身への応援歌とも思っています。
アリガトサ~ン!
Doesn't matter how many times to watch, or listen to, this one makes me cry.
"Stand up! Stand up! Stand up, Joe!"
That's the word encouraging me, too.
Thanks a lot!
