  • kill all enemies, spare civillians -> good ending

has nothing to do with lethal or non lethal weapons

  • Hands down one of the coolest games I've ever played. With the choice of endings @stgmilleralive said it best "I think this one of the few games in history that asks you to 'contemplate' rather 'play' the story."

  • Different difficulties didnt changes the ending did it?

I didnt notice anything did any1?

  • I feel like the neutral self-destruct ending is cannon to the Deus Ex series.

  • so there were 12 endings hunnnnn...........

  • I killed nearly all my enemies but I think I got the good ending. I guess I completed enough NPC tasks. I thought this game really did justice to the first. I chose the sarif ending, just because it was consistent with my helios merging in the original game.

  • JC...??? JC?!!

  • i've got the good ending too...and i barely killed enemies... i just make sure them that they are sleeping lol

  • This game recapitulated a lot of my live questions. Like, I always wondered about leaving my job, my live, my family. And go to some forgoten place where I could plant some grain have some animals, with no comuter, car and such crap. When I die, I die. But I had also always ideas about how it would be wonderful have something like AI, car wich would drive me where i want without me driving, and other hi-tech widgets. And even about Bilderbergk group, who they are, shoud i trust them.

  • I killed and maimed any whom I judged a culprit, no mercy given. I still got the good ending. It's odd how those methods wouldn't be considered under the same light in reality. As soon as Bell-Tower caused their first civilian casualty in front of my eyes, none of their agents survived, regardless of their involvement. Supposedly that wasn't the first time Bell-Tower did such things, according to civilian NPCs, thus all their employees knew what they were getting into.

  • Eh, neutral self-destruct ending here, not surprised to be honest that's how I pictured my character too, helping whenever I could, but sometimes resourcing to extremes to complete my ends, good game.

  • Curious which ending is canon

  • I ended up choosing self-destruct, knowing full and well that it just meant the status quo. They are all illusions of choice, as we can't affect the growing gap between augmented, have and have-nots, and the rise of MJ-12 when the events of Deus Ex begin.

  • I don't know if it's just me but though all endings have their own weight and truth the self-destruction endings seem like the best option of those four.

  • The interesting thing about this, not one of these endings is truly 'good' or 'bad'. Each gives merits and disadvantages. All the aftermaths are up for the players to decide. And strangely, Adam's monologues all carry a great amount of weight to them. I think this one of the few games in history that asks you to 'contemplate' rather 'play' the story.

  • Will somebody please explain to me why these endings are practically the same? Wether it's the good ending or bad ending, it's still the same video. Can someone please explain that?

  • @masteroftheassassins Jensen's own valuation of his action during the game in the videos varies by the things you did in the game. Other stuff is about the same netherless how you play the game.

  • @Vekkimaster Oh okay. Thank you for explaining that

  • @Vekkimaster Because the video doesn't have anything to do with ending, just listen to the words.

  • Thanks for that video, you are probably the only one who uploaded all 12 endings yet. I got the good ending too, maybe because i only killed gangsters, terrorists and the illuminati soldiers and not policeofficers, securitys and civillians.

  • I thought the game's endings might be doing something like this! Fortunately, I didn't kill too many people for a 'good' ending. I wonder how the game tracks this exactly though. Like, what are the cut-offs for attaining each?

Real interesting endings and it really makes you think, even if the implementation seems a little clumsy.

But anyway, thank you so much for doing this, and even time-stamping it. Really appreciate it!
