You do know that even if the president chooses to veto this that it can still pass. Congress can vote to override a presidential veto, causing the bill to become law without the president's approval. I'm still so surprised this passed the senate...it's insane.

@fairyloveize yup... that's what most of the discussion below is... the Congress cannot override the veto just like that. They need a total (both from the Senate and House) of 2/3 approval when they attempt to repass the law in order to override the veto... As of right now, the House didn't reach that number... its VERY close (60% approval rather than 66%) but still not there.

@AmericanPatriot2008 I make sure I know who I'm voting for. Its not easy to get the vote where I live. It always comes down to the majority. I vote for someone who might do the job and who has the least amount to gain and has more to earn. I'm the guy who congress has to convince they want voting for. That independent they so need. HAHA!

You stupid idiot. Don't you know the law of the land? The Bill passed both Houses with more than a 2/3 majority. A President CANNOT veto a Bill that passes with a 2/3 majority or higher.

@AmericanPatriot2008 from my understanding the House hasn't voted yet. He still CAN veto this years bill... The only way for him to not be able to veto a bill is if AFTER he vetoed it, it REPASSES with 2/3 majority...

Like his health care plan and he is pulling us out of Iraq by the end of the year. He might not have done it right away, but he is doing it. My problem is he's a union man. I've worked for a few Unions, but never helped me none. I also know his game is political.
