Now THAT's what I'm talking bout...transformation of existing digital imagery into spatial data. I am familiar with the painstaking efforts historically needed to create GIS data for multiple and unspecified future uses. Seadragon! Noah Snavely! Steve Seitz and Richard Szeliski! Photosynth! Google (gulp) should integrate with a good model of Earth, and stream such excellent spatial reference data to any GIS or CAD application for use in @D or 3D GIS analysis and 2D or 3D CAD projections.
