oh rama, did your words become gold like? even when i call you, how come you dont respond. i cant stop thinking about you even in my dreams, my sweet looking savior! after praying you so much, you dont seem to give me your blessings.
if you persist, how can i even compare with you! you have a title of savior, please be considerate to me, oh bhadrachala rama!
it says " Oh lord, why dont you say a word. I have been calling you for such a long time, I cant even stop thinking of you even in my dearm" so.. on..
Its tough to translate such a excellent composition, that too in english. unless you understand each and every word of it, its hard to get its beauty.
I think u can sing this song even if you are happy and good times also... think...
it is pleasure in pain, that one day god will listen his voice and words... we are such a materialistic people, such a way we dont understand the cognitive philosophy...
it some times appears inappropriate if the rendition and the breaks at various junctions are different vis-avis the original/popular version (as mr. muntazir76 or mr. surapaneni are saying), but is not WRONG; it is newer way-> we some times don't accept change easily, you see....neverthless it is a good rendition with singing which was sounding meaningful. I also agree with mr. muntazir-- it is song of PAIN when imprisoned & MBK is probably better
I'm not that cognizant of south indian classical music, however I will say this. The original rendition by Balamuralikrishna sounds more like a prayer of pain, which is in line with the lyrics. Your rendition on the other hand sounds more like a dialogue. And also its not "Paluke bangaramayena" with a stiff upper lip. Its a flow more like "Paaluuukeee bangaramayaaaenaaaa". The pain in the words is essential. That said, you have a great voice and a very good understanding of raagas.
Nice cover.
I just saw a rendition of this song by Tharachandra , very different i have to say. :)

Simple & nice. Many Tamil singers over stretch and make it boring. More ever they should see this video and learn how to pronounce.
