If an actor plays a serial killer, rapist, terrorist, cheating husband or anything like that; that means he's similar to that in real life? no, lol, the idea is to play something different from who u are. It's the most challenging & most fun. Many actors say they luv playing roles that is opposite of them 4 that reason. Hollywood needs u to ACT like somethin ur not thats why its acting.
