  • Christmas Holiday

    Gene Kelly

  • Siodmak WAS noir: his Cry of the City is still the best use of Richard Conte, Hope Emerson, Victor Mature. He couldnt help himself: he never assimilated from Europe you feel, he is always looking at New York and the US through very dark glasses.

  • cool

  • I LLLOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEE Gene Kelly and i finally found this movie on DVD! woot! I like it it is a different role of Gene's but he's still so gorgeous and amazing....also I love this movie because deanna sings one of my favorite songs "Always"!

  • I don't believe I've ever seen this, so it shall be a real treat. Thanks for posting what looks to be a great film.

  • Thanks for posting this. What a fabulous movie! It is a neglected Film Noir masterpiece. It is interesting seeing Deanna Durbin and Gene Kelly playing such hard-boiled characters. So different from their popular images. Director Robert Siodmak was noted for such films. He later directed Burt Lancaster's first film, "The Killers," which is similar to this in some ways. This is an excellent film!
