Never forget the brilliance of DeVito's Penguin, Pfeiffer's Catwoman, Danny Elfman's Batman theme etc.

From listening to him, he doesn't sound like he knows how to bulk up and from looking at the photo it looks like lighting and angles that are making him look jacked.

But it is hollywood and they can manipulate his body to make him look better. But three months isn't enough time to gain the weight necessary to play a guy like Bane. But then again Bane is very small before using Venom, but when he does use it he grows into a freak of nature.
