They are absolutely beautiful! Well done mummy! It's a wonderful thing watching a cat giving birth, i was at my own cats birth, and she celebrated her 20th birthday on the 6th November :) She's a tortoise shell, born to a tabby mum and a ginger daddy... Will you keep the kittens? x x x
@BeautifulBubblesSoap I was there for Genie's birth also. She was born next door. As for the kittens. We need some cats in the barn and in the workshop to protect the animal feed but we were hoping for some in the Spring. Now, its definitely too cold for them to be outside. Being they were born this time of year we will probably see if anyone needs a Christmas Kitten. It was kind of an odd time of year for kittens around here. So maybe keep, maybe re-home. Not sure.
Genie was born to a Siamese mama cat. She was the only orange kitty in the litter. Her feet and tail are a little darker than her other fur colors, a hint of her half siamese blood. I didn't think it was possible but then I noticed her mother had orange coloring under her belly so technically she was a siamese-calico, carrying genes for orange and black. An orange female tabby from a siamese was a pleasant suprise.
@EF I searched Craigslist for a free kitten, found it to be a Balinese, (long-haired Siamese-looking thing,) from a mixed litter of 2 grays, 1 black & another Siamese-looking one. Mama was a gray tabby. Siamese are skinny cats, but my "little" kitten now weighs in at 17 lbs. at 17 months! I call him the Maine Coon Incognito! Then I adopted my aunt's Ragdoll, another Siamese-looking thing, but w/ long hair & white tips on top of the usual chocolate tips. I love those orange tabbies, though.
this reminded me of one of my cats who almost gave birth on my bed while i was asleep. her waterbag broke on my mattress (i thought i did something embarrasing then :P) and i realized my cat was in labour. She wanted me to stay with her throughout the whole process :) proud to say, i had three HUGE grandfurbabies after that. The beginning of my crazy cat lady days. Thank you so much for this video! Brings back wonderful memories :)
This is perhaps the most beautiful video I have seen in a long time. It reminded me of when my female (she died at the age of 18 last year) gave birth on my bed to 4 adorable kitties just a week after I came out of hospital after my near fatal car crash. To watch an animal like this give birth and trust you so much and want you to be there just is beyond words. It brought a tear of joy at seeing these lovely animals brought into this word and all orange as well. BEAUTIFUL. Thank you Bonnie.x
ohmigosh - you sure have a lot going on in your household / farm! wow!! i am just being a couch potato watching your videos, lol... thanks for sharing - can't wait for an update :)
The miracle of life, indeed! Thanks for sharing! :)
