not so long ago i saw a ford focus ST rolled on the street here in croatia,

funny part is he was trying to cut a sleeping policeman and got launched by the curb whilst landing on the roof scratching it (not denting) and the airbag deployed the car was in perfect shape. all the police officers on scene and the driver were amazed then it took them 90mins to roll it back and take it away without damaging it. unlike here where it didn't matter any more

@manusmelllawl German cars do that when emergency devices are triggered (air bags, brake sensors, etc) Also, one of the connectors to the battery has a small explosive on it so during an accident it cuts power from the battery so the car won't catch fire.

With the way the rear wheel is broken it must have hit the curb. I'd imagine it slid around the corner and hut the curb which caused it to flip.

@kornkyd09 The drive shaft is embedded deep in frame of car. If you look at the channel the exhaust travels through you will see the heat shielding. The drive shaft is actually under the heat shielding.

Car's totaled anyway. The drivetrain was RUINED. That alone is sufficient enough to total a BMW.

My girlfriend had a BMW and sideswiped a concrete K-rail, doing very little visible damage, but since she broke the front control arms and the back axle, they totaled the car. This BMWs undercarriage is in WAY worse shape than hers was. This one's scrap, I'm afraid.

I used to know someone who towed cars, he hated it when he had to drag frames and upright cars. If the owners were around they would also yell about the mirrors that were about to get broken when their car was going to be totaled by the insurance company anyway. The entire passenger side needs to be replaced on this one and back bumper, along with the damage to the back suspension and wheels, it's a BMW and is probably going to get totaled too. ...on a slow road, wondering how this went down.
