weak trees in macomb county lol.... i live in ludington... right on the beach.. only had one storm that was way stronger then that but.. the lake kills our storms :(
@Jasonartz yeah no doubt ! It was interesting how the wind suddenly kicked up and that branch just fell completely. I'm glad I wasnt hurt or my camera. :) Thanks for watching.
@MCCsLife Yes indeed lol. That was the back side or east side of the house. The tree limb actually hits the telephone wires and cable lines running into the house. Glad I wasn't standing there when it did, or i'd be hurting bad. :) Thanks for watching. New gear for this spring / summer weather, and it will be in HD so can't wait for storms to come in.
This part of the video made me laugh at the end also. lol In the beginning youre looking at ascent of flow of warm moist air into the rotating updraft (inflow). In the middle of the video, the shelf cloud passed over with the RFD winds. The green color was from the hail core, and the end was the second storms (behind this one) shelf/RFD winds which snapped the branch. Great explanation on the cloud movements as well. This day was awesome as was this storm. A rare sight for us here!
HAHA! omg you made me and my friend laugh haha. I love storms. The tree was funny, you were like cracking up when it fell. I'm glad you didn't get nailed in the head. You do some great shit on here:)!
haha i agree. sorry for the long delay on responding. it was crazy and just like a minute prior to it falling, I was standing in that very spot filming.. luck was on my side.
Clouds reside at different levels and some clouds travel on one level, while others on another. unstable air is what makes em move in 2 different directions and usually the outflow of a storm also is in a diffrerent direction then the actual movement of the storm itself.
Oh wow ! That's crazy ! I'm glad you were not hurt. I've seen lightning totally vaporize 4 powerlines once. Something i've never seen before in my life. It was in Spring of this year, and I was in Oak Park Michigan doing some Dry Walling when I stepped out to see lightning nail the pole, generator and the lines. CraZy..
I live in Howell and i forget what year we had 4 tornadoes, thankfully none hit the city.

Where I live a power line fell on a metal fence and burned right through it.
