I'm adopted by my grandparents. I can understand how hard it is to come out to them. all around history and in the media you hear horror stories of the gay struggle when they were young adults, harvey milk, hiv/aids breakout, stonewall riots, even early 90's, mathew shepard etc. i thought your coming out story was brave, sad, emotional, educational, with even some humor. our stories are different, but i feel like i can also somehow relate. it meant a lot to me to hear your story.
