Well to be honest, the selection is the best in years. Apart from the two blonde non-entities they all have something to offer. Freddie is definitely the most interesting housemate that has entered in years and I'd like to see him in there until the end. Yeah, so many ways to construe that scene. Could be what you suggest or could be the any of the following; I'm unsure to be honest.
1. Freddie attempting to use Oxbridge sophistical debating style annoyed Kris (i.e logic is an irrelevancy when faced with contempt).
2. Kris IS far higher up the food chain than Freddie and he just couldn't be arse with vitriol.
I don't know. But it's interesting that it was Kris who got up and left. This is telling, perhaps a combo of all the above.

Notice how Kris only picks on halfwit when he has an audience, any one on one confrontations are met with early exits or bored indifference, the latter I suspect due to his inability to think on his feet or structure his thoughts coherently.

I agree, I think Freddie is one of the best HM's of all time, and I'd hate to see his early demise. I can't really go out of my way to defend Kris. Early on I thought he was smart and levelheaded, but he's proved himself to be a vacuous empty shell of a feebleminded bully (like you say, he lacks the mental vocabulary to structure his thoughts). You might have a point that this a game plan to expose Lisa, although to be honest it's fairly blatant for the more discerning viewer anyway...
