  • I'm about to get one of these, a Monaco Brougham coupe in dark metallic green with matching green metallic 'mod' top...I'm hopelessly addicted to big-block mopars!

  • My Father had a 1972 4 door blue polara with cruise control way back when they were brand new. I was 8 at the time & really liked the Polara. I would not mind having one myself. They were very nice cars. Take Care.

  • Just look at the sheer size of it... It's huuuge! It's a miracle the tyres didn't pop because of the weight they had to bear.

  • here is one 72' 4DHT with 29000miles.....

  • I have a '73 Monaco and every Mopar show I go to, I get all sorts of question on what it is. These hidden light cars just arent' seen any more! When you close the lights down on my car they sound like bomb bay doors closing!

  • There isn't a car available today at ANY price that can approach the style of these cars.

  • my neighbors had a new 78 monaco 440 2 door,it was nice

  • He loves selling it because it was Dodge's most expensive car that year meaning more profit/commision for him.The almost identical Polara would have been a better buy (although you wouldnt get the neat hidden headlights).

  • @hpspeedster

No, I rather think he likes selling that because it was a pretty hot car for those in the market for such a thing. Much better looking than the Polara that year. I've worked in a dealership, too, and the commission one received was a flat rate - 65$ for a new car, and 75$ for a used; the price of the model or options you sold didn't enter into it.

  • Sharp car in it's day
