  • @rocksparadox hehe infestor bomb is a name I gave to burrowing a squad of infestors, moving to an expansion or defensive line and bombarding it with a dozen or more infested terrans.

    Same affect as a nuke.

  • If firebat will be added (my personal opinion is that hellions should stay) it could get stimpack and one of the gampaing updates; Incinerator gauntles [increases range] or Juggernaut plating [increases armor].... just saying ;)

  • As far as I see, the Zerg gets all the good stuff in SC2! Quite annoying. I mean...controlling units of other races using parasites is already bad enough, now an infested bunker!? An infested Terran Command Center is enough, but now a bunker! What's the point for building those then?! A wasted effort for the SCVs! I loved those bunkers in SC1. But by the looks of it, bunkers in SC2 is not going to be a good shelter anymore from the Zerg, which is disappointing.

  • Firebats would help Terran alot against Zerg. Cause hellhions die way to quick to Zerglings once they get a surround. I killed 2 hellions with 8 Zerglings and only lost 2. The speed is just to great on Zerglings. But firebats can at least take some hits

I'm saying they force an engagement because helions are faster than everything but zerglings, with that they can easily slip past anything on the ground and head straight for your drones. When there are helions you either engage with zerglings, hope you have a wall to stop them or lose your mineral line. On the other hand most firebats kills would require a zerg to make the mistake of engaging, and as i stated the helion's speed forces an engagement.

  • @HollowJet just because they're faster than everything, but zerglings doesn't mean you need to engage in battle. They don't do shit vs roaches in termso f damage.

  • @TeronGer Firebats can be healed by medivacs. Firebats also won't outrun the marine/marauder group. Assuming they're as beefy as marauders, they will provide great tanking against zerglings and banelings.

  • @Chnamanjx You have a good point there. If multiplayer firebats have their armour upgrade from the campaign, they could tank damage pretty well.

    However, firebats can't outrun speedlings and banelings, which is why I prefer blue flame hellions. And BFH drops are awesome (too bad they're nerfing it, though).

    Cuz Firebats creates a wall for the marines and marauders to shoot from behind...also the width spread of the firebat's flame combined with stim will pretty much slaughter any melee unit in SC2...coupled with the fact that Firebats are armored units with higher hp than the helion.

    They took out the firebat from SC2 because firebats as a tier 1 unit would force the other 2 races to bunker down or risk having a Firebat Marine push killing everything.

    -A reasonable unit to include lategame instead of massing them damn marines whereas hellions are rarely used outside the general harassing.

    Also,your blue flame got nerfed.Can't compare firebats to hellions just because they both use flames. I was going to mention mineral-lines but that's hellions' thing.

    I think you misunderstood me. I meant campaign only unit. and camoflague as in you place it somewhere and terran (campaign) units walk by and you ambush them or something. i never mentioned putting them in a players base. and as for your idea. it wouldnt work due to salvage imo
