I also started a page on university level stomp & shake cheers. Google Cocojams Stomp and Shake Cheerleader Cheers. I collect cheers & rhymes for the folkloric & historical record. Imo, African Americans need to do a much better job of documenting our culture.

@Hipgurl90, To call the earlier style of cheerleading "official", or "traditional", or "mainstream", all have connotations that makes stomp & shake cheerleading "less than". Stomp/shake isn't less than. It's just another way of pumping up the fans that's based on African American cultural aesthetics. Imo, it's also problematic to call one White & the other Black cheerleading. That's why I coined the term "sis boom bah" cheers for that earlier form of cheerleading. This referent works for me.
