  • It's a type of aparthed that is based on nationality and residency.

  • dude, no FUCKING way you can end apartheid in Cuba, even if EXTREME apartheid in Cuba. Why?

    IT'S A COMMUNIST GOVERNMENT!!!!

  • @geganerd3 Heard Raul made a new rule. He says all cubans can stay in the resort hotels. He must of came under international pressure.

  • If she were Afro Cuban, it would have been worse.

  • Hmmm I was at the Inglaterra Hotel...I had no problems bringin my Cuban gf to stay with me each nicht !!! But yes there seems to be some kind of Apartheit were tourists are allowed everywhere while the Cuban people are denied entry in clubs. discos and bars ... that creates big resentment among the cubans... this might one day cause a serious back-lash !!! Because it is injustice of a very large scale!!!

  • rules have been change in cuba last year 2009. now cuban local peopel can go to any hotel as long as they pay but if you want to take the girl to hotel just you pay or gave the money to her and let her pay forherself with your money. After you have regester you can take her to your room. Even she has her own room because she paid . this is for anybody

  • isn't this just a rule the hotels use to cover their asses so that they can't be accused of aiding or profitting for prostitution. After all if you're a foreign tourist with a cuban prostitute, then there's no way you can take her to your hotel. they have similar rules in japan.

  • That looks too great of a hotel to be in Cuba. I am Cuban and have not been there, but i have read articles and seen videos on the country. I was reading a book on a man who recently went to cuba and he spoke of the Habana libre being a venerable and rundown hotel.

  • ummm...why? i dont see the point. what are they trying to prevent by not letting you in?

  • Comment removed

  • what rubbish - this is just a set up - i have seen literally hundreds of Cubans booked into Cuban hotels - as part of workplans (2005-06) - then under the moneda nacional schemes (2008) - what happens is that it is all very regulated and people usually go under plans ..

  • This is TRUE! I Tried checking into a Hotel with my cousins and Cubans were not permitted into tourist hotels until a few months ago..THey could not just go to the front desk and stay with Foreign currency and all.. I know the truth hurts.. and your love affair with the revolution is scarred..but this is nothing compared to the other NONsense Cubans deal with on a daily basis.

  • That's simply not true. 50% of the sugar industry was in Cuban hands, up significantly since independence. Go take your propaganda somewhere else.

  • Oh yeah. Fuck you siempre.

  • @SaintErnesto you really don't know what the fuck you're saying. or you must be extremely dumb. that's sad man!

  • Obviously there are a lot of "Como Pingas" watching this video. However, the sad part is that they are posting their opinios without knowing shit about Cuba. I wonder why don't they go to live over there to be told what movies to see, what books to read, what shit to eat, what beaches to go, what phrases to say, what party to belong to, what pictures to take, which people to befried, which people to hate, what career to choose, what city to reside in and become a "healthy and educated" robot

  • Funny last time I checked I can't travel to Cuba freely either without being threatened with charges of "treason". Love that U.S. "freedom". You can't even go most places unless you plan on spending money otherwise your kicked out. So what business do most Cubans have in tourist hotels (spending money they don't have?) and how is that any different than any other capitalist business policy? And isn't prostitution wrong? That's what is going on here.

  • First of all you're an idiot. Nobody threatens to charge you with treason. If you travel to Cuba you face fine for violating the trading with the enemy act. We have a commercial embargo on Cuba because the castro regime stole more than $1 billion in American assets in the early 1960s. Since Cuba didn't want our trade then why should we give it to them now, if they haven't corrected that situation?

  • Secondly your comment about not being able to go places in the U.S. is bullshit. Anyone can check into any hotel in America with whatever companion they want to check into. As to what business they have going to hotels, well jackass considering it's their fucking country I'd say they have a lot of business. But not only do I disagree with you shithead, the murderous Raul Castro does to because he has since removed those restrictions.

  • Actually in the U.S. hotels do reserve the right to kick out guests or to not check them in. For example a man that stays in a hotel but walks in with a high scale hooker would be disallowed entrance or would have to pay a guest fee.

I am not saying the girl in the video is a hooker or anything. But I am telling you the U.S. hotels also have rules. They just are not as rigid as Cubas. Thats all.

  • What you talking about, my bitch is no hooker. Asere, you are full of shit. There is no comparison. That like saying that Aparthei in South Africa is okay, because it existed in the United States 50 years ago. Go double check your rational and your attempt at just being disagreeable and to talk shit because you have nothing to say.

  • Lastly, the only prostitute is your mother. And even if the girl in the video were a prostitute (which she's not) the Cuban revolution supposedly was going to end prostitution. Just another failure of fidel castro and his fucking cronies like you come pinga.

  • Obviously there are a lot of "Como Pingas" watching this video. However, the sad part is that they are posting their opinios without knowing shit about Cuba. • @IzRaHFeL4 this is a lie. I have friends who travel to cuba all the time. You need to fly from other countries. You want be charged with anything. Do your research before you speak. You can EVEN FLY from the UNITED STATES if you get a permit from the treasury department. Zip it

  • yeah, that video is bullshit and so obviously a fake

fidel castro would never let anything like "apartheid" exist

    Israel on the other hand...

  • You obviously don't have a clue about anything in Cuba, I can't stand your ignorance. I've lived there and that's what every Cuban go through everyday, and it is not only in hotels, there are also beaches you cant even go to because they're only for tourists.

  • Aaah, another European opinion blinded by the beauty of beaches and resorts.

  • Cubans who dream of leaving and coming to the USA are not allowed out. Yeah, the big bad fat Americans. They're free to travel. Cubans are imprisoned. Given the chance, 90% of Cubans would leave, not for Jamaica, not for the Dom Repub., but for the USA and their "fat" Americans. Free Cuba!

  • Yea so what? Americans ain't allowed to travel, just cause Castro keeps Cubans in Cuba? I don't get your complaint.

  • Yeah and every other third world country citizen also. Funny how the U.S. hordes the worlds resources through economic pressure, monopoly and military intervention. Everyone wants to come here because this i were the money is. Who doesn't want the easy way out. Your free Cuba=make Cuba dependent on 1st world countries to survive, which in my opinion is slavery.

  • let's not argue about communism, let's talk about this particular rule. who would benefit from cubans being permitted into hotels? only the jiniteras (escorts).

  • Ruizscar, there wouldn't be any jineteras (escorts) if it weren't for the fact Cubans are extremely impoverished. Your little hamburger cart (el carrito) would be taken away from you in Cuba. Just wait until Chavez decides to take over businesses in Venezuela. You'll be out of luck without (el carrito), and you'll never see a hamburger again. You'll be ready to become a jinetero yourself just to survive.

  • Is not about benefits. It is about the RIGHT to do it. Cubans are threaten like foreigners in their own country by a government that denies them even their own homeland. You obviously don't have a darn glue of what freedom and respect is regardless the benefits around the situation.

  • I am cuban, I went to Cuba in 2006, I couldn't pass to Cayo Coco, because one of my relatives (cousin and family) did not have my same last name,In the car were my son(8 years), my husband , my cousin, his wife and their baby girl (9 month)and myself. There was not any indication of prostitution, or any illegal action

And they were not allow to enter to the "territory", that was the word they used, because they were Cubans,

    that's discrimination!!!

  • well, thats the way government rules are over in cuba, just like any other sovereign nation.there are rules and laws implemented. if you go to other countries wether in africa, asia...don't think that the u.s.a constitution is going to help. if enough people wanted to change there will come a time and it will change.

  • Sovereign nation? Surely you jest. Cuba hasn't had a free election in over 5 decades. Nobody in Cuba asked for this system. Cuba is a dictatorship. As such its leaders have only one goal, to maintain their rule. Anything that could interfere with that (like tourists mingling and "corrupting" the peons) is strictly forbidden. It's funny how you accept for others conditions that you would never accept for yourself.

  • If he, as a foreigner, had invited an uncle that was living in Cuba, he wouldn't be allowed to stay in the hotel either, although "his" chances of getting pregnant are 0%. The point is that if you are a cuban resident, you are not allowed to stay in any hotels, period.

  • That's absolutely not the case in Cuba. The reason Cubans can't use accommodations that foreigner can use is because the government is trying to minimize the "corrupting" effect of outsiders and I'm not talking about premarital sex. More like civil liberties and human rights. There's no abstinence movement in Cuba which is a communist country with very little religious influence.

  • Amazing,

Hippies, Commie-Lovers, Anarchists, Europeans in love with Castro, and the Ultra-Left let's here your defensive insane reasoning for this.

  • No, in Vegas they keep the prostitutes out of the Hotels. In Cuba, Cubans can't stay in the hotels.

  • I'm no fan of Castro but I think they do that to keep prostitution out of the hotels.

    Fuck Communism
