im honestly a little glad hollywood hasnt made a movie, after seeing them butcher harry potter, twilight, and the percy jackson series... I'd hate for my bible(enders game) to be ruined by nonsense and end up a teen romantic comedy rather than the incredible scifi story it is
Has anyone here read the Red Prophet graphic novels, adapted from OSC's OTHER great series based on a kid born with enormous potential?
This one is fantasy, not SF, but it's a very different fantasy: not an elf, dwarf, dragon, or hobbit in sight. Only one person is ever referred to as a wizard, and it's not the title character. It's Benjamin Franklin.
It's set in an alternate history of 19th century North America, with one slight change that makes all the difference:
Like the Ender books, "The Tales of Alvin Maker" (the series in question) is a series of novels (one series, not two plus add-ons). The books so far are, in order:
• Seventh Son (birth and early childhood of Alvin Miller)
• Red Prophet (pre-teen years of Alvin Miller)
• Prentice Alvin (youth of Alvin, now Smith )
• Alvin Journeyman (coming of age of Alvin Smith)
Do anybody notice that in Ender's game are explain SOCIAL NETWORK ?

I don't like how the descolada subplot is never resolved.

I've read Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, and Shadow of the Hegemon. I plan to now read Shadow Puppets and Speaker for the Dead.
