  • We can all agree that humans are pretty stupid, so, aren't "rules" in many instances a good thing because it prevents harm, wether it's to yourself or thers.

And with libretarian thought, why is it all about "you can go about your business as long as it doesn't harm others" why isn't the point ever made that your life should be protected too, why can self distruction occur, aren't your poor actions interfearing with a life, even if it is your own?

  • @TheKaitn Who are you to decide what should or should not be done in one's life, certiainly not you personally.. and you would give this up to strangers??? LOl

We evolved and came up out of the jungle and evolved into a super modern civilization without any of the babbling government bullshit you brainwashed sheeple are talking about.. we would have been there 500 years ago if it wasn't for all the sheeple like yourself, ever heard of the dark ages???? GOVERNMENT

  • @999silverrush Wow, you're so mature, to strengthen your argument you turn to name calling, that is so smart, I am now going to read your comments thinking that you know what you're talking about and that you take every aspect of the topic into consideration.

  • I love Ron Paul. I hope that he has a great chance this year to actually get far in the elections

  • ALSO PROVIDE EVIDENCE PLEASE AND PLEASE MAkE mORE VIDEOS MORE FREQUENTlY I DON'T LIKE WATCHING YOUR VIDS OVER AND OVER WAITING FOR A NEW VID TTTTTTTHHAANNNKK. yyOOuu

  • Amir here - Great video man & I subscribed and will be sure to view your videos here on this channel.

  • Aman John, Im curious to know your beliefs on capitalism

  • @missysmithy25 Pure capitalism is the only moral way to run a society when you actually know what capitalism is. No country today actually has capitalism. US is crony capitalism, for ex, where government plays a large role in the economy and decides winners and losers in the market.

  • all in the name of personal liberty......................... what is the extent of your libertarianism? a PURE libertarian society would be tantamount to anarchy if no limitations are imposed on ones personal or economic liberty but most libertarians are not like this.

  • @missysmithy25 well. a pure libertarian society wouldn't necessarily be anarchy. an anarcho-capitalist believes it is possible to run society completely without government. By understanding of psychology tells me otherwise...simply based on HOW people's brains work with authority. Only in a world where most people are developed at say, level 5 or 6 or Kohlbergs moral development can we have anarchy. Other than that, I think minimum government is the most practical.

  • see... this is what I hate about libertarian thought, sure; it is the least contradicting in comparison to others genres of political thought. But it is the least contradicting because it is the least structured!!! Libertarians claim that government has no right to intervene in personal or economic activity. U sanction the legalization of ALL drugs, u believe its okay for one to take their own life

  • @missysmithy25 it is definitely not the least structured. in fact, it has the longest tradition of philosophical and empirical evidence to support its underpinnings. The flaw in many people's aversion to libertarian thought is the thought that basically no one does anything....it's extremely difficult to protect people's rights, to keep markets competitive etc. And while I don't personally think it's okay to take one's life....that's not my decision! that's the point =/

  • @missysmithy25 "least structured" some pretend psuedo-intellectual comment that doesn't really make sense or mean anything...

    yes

    yes

    and yes

  • @missysmithy25 "least structured" some pretend psuedo-intellectual comment that doesn't really make sense or mean anything...

    yes

    yes

    and yes

  • Respond to this video...

  • Aman John, why do u think the government is so extensively involved in peoples' personal lives? u keep mentioning that government has overstepped their boundaries and that their only role is to protect peoples rights, but why is the government so involved in the first place?

  • @missysmithy25 this is a classic question that was addressed by a great economist ludwig von mises, that gov't would become so involved in people's lives, we wouldn't be able to distinguish life without the gov't. The are involved in my food, my banking, my water, my bills, my marital status, my education, they tax me, tell me I can't do drugs, tell me who I can marry, tell me which country I can visit, tell me I HAVE to buy healthcare...

  • @missysmithy25 It is over-involved in the first place because it is a giant racket where one does need to do to any real work to get paid unless its absolutely necessary. If you do nothing about it, by voting and spreading awareness then it just grows and grows until it gets out of control.

Every single government has become obsolete over time to the point where it detrimental to it's own citizens, pick 100's of examples throughout history... This is why their fiat currencies always fail

  • i read that essay called "On Liberty" by Mill....... it was very thought provoking

  • If the government doesn't intervene as much, or be in charge of passing on laws that affect individuals' choices, where does one draw the line of morality in a society? Without having boundaries, the nation can become pretty scattered in terms of individual views on certain aspects of what is right and what is wrong, especially in a country like the US where various religious faiths are present. How can you make everyone "happy" when there's no authoritative regulation?

  • @000summer999 there is regulation. Regulation that others don't harm each other in the pursuit of their own happiness. it's actually pretty simple when you think about it. that is the premise behind the US in the first place! things like religious freedom. Okay, you be Muslim, but don't interrupt me being Hindu, or Christian, or w/e - you are permitted to do anything you want to do up until the point you violate someone else rights.

  • @000summer999 There's no absolute rule, it's whatever people make it. You trust an organization that's racked up trillions in un-repayable debt and killed millions of people through unconstitutional wars, to decide what you should do,act, and think? Feel free, although most people with logic would think you out of your mind.

  • @ AmonJohnX Can you talk about how you said Hadith is 60% wrong and why please provide evidence and please please please make this a video I wanted to ask you also to make more videos more frequently because I like them but I don't like watching them twice because i really like your vids thanks

  • why didn't the miracle of chile yield better results?

  • the tea baggers say they dont want the government in peoples personal lives but then says lets get the IRS to see who has had an abortion and make abortions ilelgal and then any women that has had an abortion has to be fined or someshit like that

  • @kazooga1234 Who cares about the teabaggers, I'm not a tea bagger, so stop bringing them up in the comments on MY video. seriously... oh, by the way. Jedi's believe in the force.

  • @AmanJohnX you are a tea bagger because tea bagger = libertairian and thats why they get called that and i dont fallow star wars or star terk stuff

  • actually the taxes are used to build things like schools libaries and other needed things like roads and to pay the cops and the fire departments and there are many other things i am leaving out

  • @kazooga1234 You're once again assuming that you NEED government to build roads, libraries, schools, and that these tings are NEEDED.

  • @AmanJohnX we do need to build roads and schools and those things are needed those are what made america number 1 to begin with go google it it shows that you dont really know anything about history at all and why america was number one once upon a time now its last and canada is about number 3-5

  • government doesnt need to provide health care eventhough once upon a time you where on the government run health care program that makes 0 sense

  • @kazooga1234 Once upon a time I was a kid who didn't know anything about political philosophy, I didnt come out of the womb libertarian...and the sad thing is, now with our government, we don't even have the choice (freedom) to NOT have healthcare without paying the consequences..

  • @AmanJohnX well if it wasnt for the government run health care you probably would have been dead and the government is needed for giving out health care that is why america is last with everything because the health care system sucks canada they pay a hell of a lot less and live 5 years longer then americans

  • so you are for slave labor and people getting into car crashes because of sleep depervation you might want to look into why a lot of the laws where orignally created instead of just saying that you are for things like slave labor after all the minmum wage should be highered not taking away because as it is now not everybody can even afford food

  • what the Ds mainly want to do is have the regulations so people are getting brain tumors from lead paint after all that was illegal in the 70s because people where getting sick from them and they want to ban machine guns because those are never used for protection only murder they want studies to be done to make sure that the meds you take arent poisoness to your body they want to make sure that the buildings wont colasp in an earthquake

  • a lot of liberals want to legalize pot/all drugs after all it worked for a few other countries you should like alan grayson not ron paul alan grayson is for everything you said not ron paul alan grayson wants to fix the entitlement programs and make them for everybody (if they pay into it and if the people want to and states can opt out) alan grayson wants to tax the rich so the most a millionare is paying in taxes is only 800 dollars

  • ron paul isnt for gay rights

  • @kazooga1234 Ron paul separates his personal views from his political. While he doesn't endorse gay marriage, he recognizes that it is not the governments place to be involved in marriage. This is what you keep failing to see. That government doesn't need to be in every aspect of our lives.

  • @AmanJohnX he doesnt endorse gay marriage at all he says that states should decide and it shouldnt be called marriage and he has said many times that gays shouldnt really have rights i even have links proven that and i am pretty sure that i sent them to you before and he also is anti women

  • @kazooga1234 you're a completely blind and bombastic person that just wants to spew their preconceived nonsense and never actually wants to take part in a discussion, but rather you have your own agenda and unsupported propaganda. You're not adding anything valuable. You just want to have your talking points, and everything is in one ear and out the other. Look how many comments you made...why can't you ever just talk about the relevant issue being discussed and bring evidence.

  • @AmanJohnX no i am not a bombastic person i have actually done the reasearch on this and know that if we go by the sales tax only we would have to have a card that will make the richer pay more for the sales taxes or we wont have any money go into the government at all so the roads wont be able to be built or schools the public school system is what made america number 1 and its people like you that seem to forget that

  • @kazooga1234 seem to forget what? Why America is what it is is because of the founding fathers....what do you know about them? What are their political philosophies? I'll respect your opinion more if you can demonstrate where I am coming from.

  • @AmanJohnX this is after the founding fathers and it was the public school system that brought america to number 1 and this isnt philosophies these are facts these are things you can look up on google and tell you exactly why america used to be number 1 and why its not and one reason why its last is because of the shitty health care system that people like you want to make worse and people like me and alan grayson want to make better

  • @kazooga1234 Did I ever say I want to make the healthcare system worse? Look how unsophisticated your statements are. I want healthcare to be better, I am pretty sure all rational humans do. Republicans and libertarians don't wake up in the morning and just hope my kids die today during childbirth. The difference is where liberals think government should run healthcare. Economist, and people who actually study the effects of government run programs have reason to believe they run like crap.

  • @kazooga1234 more kids* die today

  • @AmanJohnX that is because the rich arent paying their fair share in taxes its because we are in a stupid recession started by bush its because the bush tax cuts still exist its because obama is to the right of reagan its because we dont have a good health care system and if we had a public option we would have less children dieing we wouldnt have a guy who decided to go to jail so he could get health care

  • this is why i dont support ron paul he wants to get rid of the income tax he wants to get rid of EPA and the FDA what is really needed and wants to go back to segragation and i dont like rand paul even more because he is a sellout on top of having the same idologies as ron paul and we also need the entitlement programs as well as public schools and ron paul wants to get rid of those and we need those (the public school system is what originally made america number 1)

  • @kazooga1234 The FDA is a corrupt organization ran by all the old corn farmers. Do some research. Your assumption is that we need these regulatory institutions....do we? Why? What's wrong with getting rid of the income tax? it's unconstitutional...where you aware of that?

  • @AmanJohnX yes but it can be fixed and its better to have it broken then gone right now its broken but it would be 10 000 times worse if we didnt have it at all and we shouldnt get rid of what is broken but fix it so its not broken any more after all the FDA and EPA weren't always broken they worked extremely well before bush was in office and there is a lot wrong in getting rid of the income tax the income tax is where the food stamps come from it makes it so the rich pay even less in taxes and

  • @AmanJohnX (continue) everybody else who isnt rich pays a lot more and you are wrong its 100% constitutional and the proof is that it has been around for centeries its not something new

  • @kazooga1234 the proof that something ins't constitutional is that it's been around forever?

  • i am for capitism i am not for corporatism and i also know that the sales tax/fix taxes dont work they only help out the richest of the rich we need to keep the income tax and even some of the tea baggers/republicans are realizing that and a lot of them have also back peddled from cutting the entitlement programs but just because they back peddled doesnt mean they wont go to destory it if they get elected

  • @kazooga1234 Teabagger ≠ libertarian

  • I agree with your social philosophy, but I disagree with your economic beliefs. Yes, I agree that countries with little economic regulation grow quickest, but that opens up a range of possibilities for people to be screwed. If you look at China, their economy has almost no regulations, and they've grown extremely quickly. But people are committing suicide because of their low wages and poor working conditions. It's so bad that they've started to install "suicide nets."

  • @LimosRock1 You're a class democrat who is the epitome of what I described in this video. That it's easy to agree with my social philosophy because it's more apparent. but it's a lot harder to understand my economic beliefs. My question is what are YOUR economic beliefs? How much have you studied? What data can you bring to the table that can validate your arguments? Look, China is a poor example, they are not free...look at Hong Kong.

  • @AmanJohnX Then let's look at the United States. The Industrial Revolution was an awful time for the lower class. Companies placed their workers in horrible conditions and paid them a few cents per hour. During that time, the poor became poorer. Mid 1800s was an awful time for the economy. This was because of free banking. There were mass defaults on debt, people lost confidence in the banks; much of what we've seen in the last three to four years. I wasn't saying the people in China are...

  • @AmanJohnX ...free I was saying that the economy was free with very little, if any, regulation. Now I will say that in the 1800s, the system was not thought out well. Jackson made a mistake with what he allowed banks to print currency. But the idea of a completely free economy failed again these last few years with corporations like AIG becoming too confident and eventually bringing down the entire economy. I agree with your statement that Libertarianism sounds non-contradictory, it fails to...

  • @AmanJohnX ...take into consideration that corporations and companies are not people. As you said, the government's responsibility is to protect the rights of the people. The way that greed in the economy works, the idea that no regulation would be the way to go is faulty due to the fact that it would be infringing in the people's rights. (p.s. sorry the way I wrote this. The comment box won't allow more than a certain amount of characters so it has to be read bottom up. Thanks for doing this.)

  • the reason i would never be a tea bagger because they protect the banks and they dont want to actually tax the rich or help out the majority of the people of the country out instead they want to get rid of the EPA and FDA and we need to have building regulations as well as others to protect people from getting sick and having brain tumors from poisoness stuff and the amazing athiest agrees with having a public option

  • @kazooga1234 Listen to what I'm saying. I'm saying that it'd be nice if the government could help with all of these things, but these things are not the governments problems. It sound nice to tax the rich, but what empirical evidence do you have to prove this?

  • @Aman it can it used to help us with those things all the time the problem is that now almost all of the politians including your tea bagger people are being paid off (with the exception of lunitic ron paul) but rand paul is even paid off saying that corps are people at least ron paul states that they arent and i do have proof that the rich are only paying 800 max in taxes its also called the bush tax cuts that ended up really fucking up the econmy /watch?v=MNdb8mTSsN8 it gets explained in here
