Also, what tools did you use to draw the solid areas? Did you do an outline with the Pen Tool? ...Or did you fill in the space with a wide brush? So curious about your process. Love your work!
@alterna180 Fills I generally outline with the pen tool or with the pencil tool so that they are solid fills. Very rarely I paint them in with a brush and then flatten them.
Very cool! I just got a Cintiq 12WX and am trying to figure out how to draw in Adobe Illustrator while taking advantage of the pressure sensitivity. What kind of brush are you using to draw your "inked" lines? I see as you were drawing the little doctor's cheek, the brush stroke was different weights to match your drawing path, and presumably the pressure of your hand. I may just need to do some tutorials, but that is the main part I am trying to figure out.
@alterna180 I am using various brushes that I have modified to my liking. Mostly calligraphic brushes. You can adjust how much the line thickens and tapers off according to pressure and angle to your own liking.

i want to buy this monitor tablet, but when i view this video i see that the brush doesnt allign with the pen tip, is that done with a setting or is it always like that?
i am a lefty, i draw animes.. but there are lots of guys that draw better than me and they are right handed..well most of them in the art club that i know are lefty^^_____________^^
So glad to see you finally got a Cintiq. I have one and always thought you would love working with the interactive tablet. Toon Boom works a lot like Illustrator but Anime Studio is great to work with. It's really great to see the new vids and your daughters are very funny and cute.
Toonboom is quite good. It has a lot of features that Flash does not offer like camera movements and pans etc. I tried it but I don't really use it - I am just used to Flash I guess, plus there is the whole interactivity and Actionscripting aspect in Flash too. Frankly to work professionally there is no way around the Adobe Creative Suite which will give you all the tools you need: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash etc. I do work in Corel Painter quite a bit also.
I love your drawings! Nice work! I love drawing but damn I wish I could draw like you.

how is the cintiq for animations? Does it blur at all? I read the response time is fairly long.

Seems to be pretty instantaneous to me. I would imagine it depends on the processors and graphics cards in each individual case.
