my daughter Mia 5 years old she has autism too she does the same thing spins spins and if you notice her eyes are looking the opposite side... Mia does just the same... and both comments are very nice comments. they need for us to have the patience to understand and help them live a happy life..
@Miazammy Autism isn't about spinning actually. If she has ASS (Asperger syndrome) like I have, she should only have problems with social stuff. Like making friends.
I do not believe there is anything wrong with these children the only thing they need is reasonable companionship / association with other children and older people too. Yes I think that the problem is just solitude isolation separation estrangement feeling dislodged, the not too much care attitude of our society, they have an unbalanced social contact. Personal contact participation combined with positive activity is the answer
my daughter has autisim and she is the same way with music. You are blessed and have a beautiful daughter!! I hate how people only see a diagnosis and refuse to look at the beauty that is there. She looks like she would be a beautiful dancer one day. You may never know the lives that beautiful little girl may touch. people need to look past that diagnosis and see the beauty that is inside. I see a true beauty shining from your little girl. Cherish that and dont let anything bring you down.
Adorable little girl! How old is she? Has she been diagnosed by a doctor as having Autism? Because this doesn't look like Autism as I know it. I have a nephew whose sun has Autism.
For people saying this is not autism, yes it is. Autism is a spectrum disorder meaning every person's symptoms vary in severity and what symptoms they have. This shows a classic sign of autism-the repetition of her spinning over and over without boredom, shows a symptom. Obviously official diagnosis means that the individual has to have a number of symptoms from 3 categories, this lovely girl does only show one, in this video but you don't live with her and see the others so people who say she
i know this may not be much, but its hope for some. For parents families and friends with autistic children.Watch Temple Grandin, its an Hbo movie. And a true story.
fuck that. this isn't normal, this is mercury poisoning. i suffered from it for eight years because of my mercury dental amalgams and would rock back in forth. it's not fucking normal.
I think she looks like any little girl should...she is dancing in the world of when I grow up Im gonna be a princess, :) She even had a dance with the king and a brave knight :) Its not always like this...its nice to see moments that are :)
not all autism children are this way. my little girl is violent, bites herself, scratches herself, bangs her head into the floor or wall and yes that is very much disabling. She can't be in the car without screaming in fear, she can't be in crowds for fear and being overwelmed by sounds, colors, and people. People do not understand that every autistic child is differen't.
my 8 year old has Autism...he also has a wicked sense of humour a gorgeous singing voice and a smile that would melt anybodies heart. Yes he thinks differently to me..I am neurotypical he is not. I have learned as much from him as he has from me. Would I "cure" him if I could..... I don't know. Watching him struggle and work so hard. I would certainly make it easier for him I could. If I could pick and choose what parts to change perhaps lol
well i just really hate having autism very much i wishinever had it i am in 8th grade i go to cook middle school and i do have autism and yes i hate my self alot
to the jerk asking if she's trying to get a state check ,plese let me know which state you live in . I'm in NC,my son has Autism and I can't afford to get him therapy. Where's that check? I could really use it.
I've been watching a few videos about autism because my nephew who I have raised has autism and there are so many rude comments by people who live in ignorance about what it is and what it is like to live with it day to day. The old adage " walk a mile in some one else's shoes " should be tattooed on my forehead. I don't understand why parents and family members of autistic people have to DEFEND themselves from so many harsh comments.
I just see a child having fun dancing. To, me autistics are not "disabled", they are special people who see the world differently than most. They don't need to be "cured" so much as the "normal" people need to be taught how to appreciate them better. i so agree.........
A label is just that - you wouldn't look at a 400 lb person and say 'don't call them fat'. Labelling something or someone can be a way of explaining or getting people to understand. The more the word is used, the more it will become mainstream.
How can someone show this video and say it is autism? I am an adult now and spin all the time practicing my ice skating jumps. Nothing unusual in this video... Just another parent with to much time on their hands.. moving on..
@adoptacat01 a child can look perfect and have autism my five year old does not talk she can not feed herselve or go to the bathroom on her own bathe or dress herselve..She is autistic.
@adoptacat01 Wow so you know more about this child from what you have seen in a 3 minute video than the Drs and psychologists that have tested and dx her. You are a genius. ... Maybe you should apply for a check. I think that you may be delusional.
My little brother has Asperger's Syndrome. In my mind, there is no such thing as "normal". My brother, when he dances, it's like break dancing mixed with PBR, him being the bull. He has a friend with a more severe case of autism as well. To give people a better understanding, for our required health class assignment, we had to do a presentation on either a "disease" or medical career. I chose Autism and did an interview of my brother and mom. I made his half short to minimize the stress.
What people need to realise is that Autism and Aspergers is not a disability, that label seems only ever to be allocated when someone on the lower-end of the spectrum is compared to the "normal" ways of thinking and living.
When you think about it, there's nothing that can qualify it as a disability
@mayerts As someone with Aspergers I must politely disagree. When one is an adult and unable to do simple things like maintain a household or pay bills or shower daily it is very disabling.
this brings tears to my eyes.. my daughter has asd and she loves listening to music..she acts like a animal when she does.. and most people dont understand why.. I wish people would stop staring at kids with autism and start understanding..
This is autism but it is only one part of autism. Helping autistic people requires a combination of acceptance and change, not just one or the other. I'm a living example of that.
well technically it is a disability, that is ridiculous to say it is not, and yes it would be great if there was a cure. I have a brother with autism and yes he has many problems, i just dont go posting fucking videos of him on the internet
I just see a child having fun dancing. To, me autistics are not "disabled", they are special people who see the world differently than most. They don't need to be "cured" so much as the "normal" people need to be taught how to appreciate them better.
@pete1051 I'm sorry but not being able to cope with every day situations is not a difference, autistic's with sensory problems are only just able to go out in the street, depends on severity of the person.
Not being able to talk or have a decent conservation a difference? i'm sorry but i disagree, i see were your coming from but it is not exactly a difference in my eyes.
@pete1051 I totally agree. Some Autistic people are some of the most talented out there. Instead of treating Autism as a disease to be cured, I'd suggest helping the child learn to communicate, etc. I've seen one movie that deals with Autism, where one of the brothers is extremely bright and shows that he can do just about anything anyone else can with patience and guidance.
@pete1051 i agree! i mean im autistic and i dont see anything wrong with this autistics! the kind of autism i used to have made me all theese ideas pop into my mind that wanted to create new ideas with it! but while i thought i felt the need to hold something in my hand and walk around in circles! i felt so uncomfortable if i didnt, and i often left in the middle of a movie to do it!i was too embarrased to to tell any of my friends becuase i was had this deep fear of people finding me weird!:=c
Right on, you are just so right on...there is a beauty in autism that exists nowhere else; it is to be cherished. ... to commenters: and sure it's a disability. The point is it's not all bad. People with autism have a unique experience of the world and have much to teach us about consciousness, intelligence, communication, gentleness, patience and humor. One might as well find the beauty in life and honor it as much as one can, even (especially) when it's difficult.
well the video is beautiful........the problem comes when its out in the middle of the street or something and they don't realize the danger. So yes it is a disability.
Anybody with Autism: Test yourself for LYME (blood under microscope also) and HPU (!), have your stool (not urin!) tested for mercury and other heavy metals after taking a high dose of chlorella (maybe 50 pills) or another chelator (MicroSilica by Biopure), but only under the supervision of a physician that is using the Dr. KLINGHARDT protocolls for it! You will be amazed! Microbes in you produce 100 x more microtoxines with todays electromagnetic exposure. Aspergers is a medical condition!
@KarinOll chlorellas an algae, not a chelator lol. A chelating agent is a compound that binds to metals using more than 1 atom. If you're theory were correct then wiping out all microbes in your system would get rid of autism symptoms. I've wiped out all microbes in my system with colloidal silver plenty of times but nothings changed. I can't say for people with moderate to severe autism but I doubt many people on the high functioning end of the spectrum would wanna be "cured".
They both look like normal kids having fun though... I have no idea what autism is anymore. Till a moment ago I watched autism causing kids to go berserk and now I see kids that look compleately normal... -confused-
@ianisas becuase it's a made up label for kids who are just little bastards with parents lacking parenting skills. Sometimes they are normal. other times they are severe brats.
@PinotVino You moron, Are you a f'king parent yourself????? Try to raise a "normal" child first, before you even think of passing your unwarranted piece of shit about autistic kids. This girl looks perfectly normal to you???? Go check your eyes, or better your brain.
@PinotVino As if parents of children with Autism don't have it hard enough. Then there are morons like you who think it is a behavioral disorders or they can "cure it" makes these parents feel like they have failed. You have failed as a compassionate human being. Go sit in a classroom for kids with autism who have significant needs and then tell me it's because of poor parenting1
@PinotVino you are so ignorant it's sad. What a shame that with a disorder of 1-150 possibly being diagnosed there are still ignorant people like you that don't bother to research or talk to someone who has a child on the spectrum to really understand it before opening up their big mouth.
@StrangerNReality What neurotypical child do you knwo who can spin like that and not fall down? It is because of her vestibular system being out of whack that she is able to do that.
>all because they see the world through different eyes... its not somthing that needs changed... or cured.. the world just needs to open its eyes to us, and see things from ours side of the sepctrum as much as we try to see from the non autistic side and we do try.... besides whats "normal"..?? there is no such thing as "normal" the world would be a boring place if we all thought the same and acted the same now wouldnt it. she is a true gem to be treasured. best wishes as always x:)
this is a gift. not a disability, just a different way of life. a different "wiring" of the brain should we say. people find this weird, imagine how weird the world looks to us on the spectrum. i believe there is a creative genius in this girl. Nothing wrong with her at all Autism is a gift in many ways, without it i think the world would be a boring and unproductive place. speilberg (the director) is on the spectrum with Aspergers, look at the films he makes! so many great people.>
@YourComputerExpert I'm Aspergers, on the spectrum too and trust me, this woman knows her child... this was also very much me as a child... im happy with the way i am.. and im sure that this girls mother and the girl is happy with the way she is... why would we want a cure? we just want acceptance for who we are, and no she is not lableing her child, she is merely stating a fact!.. so kindly do not scream at someone who is just trying to make the world understand what its so niave about. thanx
There's SO much about autism that I love love love. My son has it. I'm so happy I get to be his mommy.
It's super hard to see the hard side of it. It's SO hard for them to fit into OUR world. He hurts his little brother ALL the time. He's SO mad at himself for hurting his brother after.
I say take care to help them through it and praise and support all the positives. I will do anything to make it easier for him but I don't want him to not have it. I just want him to manage it.
Yes, but how is she when you ask her to do something? Does she do it or does she have a complete meltdown? Does she engage in any social activity? Being on the spectrum trust me, it does need a cure. I hope any1 would accept your child, but HER life would be easier w/out it. She lives in a world where it's soooo darn hard to understand ppl.
Today my autistic nephew kicked poked coughed on and sneezed on the person in front of me in a theater. The day ended with him spitting in my face and running away after he pushed an 80 year old woman to the floor.
@mcarnteydied Proud of yourself? Find a parent of a child on the spectrum and tell them to their face their kid is retarded - just have an ambulance on standby. You never know, one day you may grow up and qualify for the human race.
@egnbigdave well said mate.. some people are just so niave and incredibly immature. Thank you. i really dont know how anyone can post something so unbelievebly conceited and horrible.
@egnbigdave You can't assume that all parents of autistic children are violent people just because they had a retard son, that's an offensive generalization.
A lot of parents of healthy children would react violently when told their son is a retard, as well as a lot of parents of autistic children would not on the same situation. Please try not to fall on simplistic and lineal deductions like "their son is a retard, ergo they'll punch you in the face if you dare to point it out"..
@UntakenNick I have an Autistic Five year old daughter. So I am speaking from experience. If you would like something more "linear and simplistic", please refrain from using language in an attempt to imply sophistcation or moral superiority on your behalf. So, you by implication consider the term "retarded" to be inoffensive I take it, when applied to a child that has not a mental "retardation" but communication and language difficulties.
@mcarnteydied how can you be so niave and incredibly brutal to say something so confounded &immature! this is part of autism. And by the way I am also on the spectrum too. And yes i was very much like this as a child. i have a very high IQ and have top marks in most things especially creative industries. Dare to call all that retarded. This young girl no doubt will have a level of intelligence to challenge yours some day . open your eyes and please stop being one who creates an unfair lable!
@mcarnteydied have you ever watched jurassic park? or jaws? or indiana jones? cause those wouldnt exist if it werent for as you say "retards". you are saying that Albert Einstein, steven speilberg, abraham Lincoln, alexander bell and plenty of others, including myself, are retards??? honestly all that i can say is "you poor ignorant bastard." even a child can discern that you have some problems, just from looking at these comments.
@jackleincognito not to mention the greatest scientist that ever lived. Nikola Tesla. If he were around today, he would without a shred of doubt, be diagnosed with high functioning autism.
I believe that people on the lower end of the spectrum can become high functioning by mental training. I used to be terrible with words, I could barely put a sentence together, let alone express my thoughts. Nowadays it seems to come naturally to me. It was after years of struggling to be able to word out my thoughts that my brain seems to have wired itself in a way that lets me do it with ease.
Nice video, Does she cut her eyes up or to one side or the other when she spins? My 2 year old granddaughter has autism and she spins and cuts her eyes to the right or up as she spins. (see my video on my channel)

i'm glad they are just saying all these diagnosis's like AS and PDD/PDD-NOS are getting removed i mean what is the difference between HFA and AS?
limited interests, speech delay and people with AS must have a IQ 100+.
Apart from these they are the same, hate having two different diagnosis's for the same thing.
People with HFA will normally talk when asked to respond, i'm like that most of the time.

KarinOll 4 months ago

-confused-
ianisas 6 months ago 3
@ianisas becuase it's a made up label for kids who are just little bastards with parents lacking parenting skills. Sometimes they are normal. other times they are severe brats.
PinotVino 5 months ago
@PinotVino You moron, Are you a f'king parent yourself????? Try to raise a "normal" child first, before you even think of passing your unwarranted piece of shit about autistic kids. This girl looks perfectly normal to you???? Go check your eyes, or better your brain.
sskgrs 5 months ago
@sskgrs Nice mouth. Acutally, yes. I have 5 children myself. 3 boys and twin girls :O)
PinotVino 5 months ago
@PinotVino As if parents of children with Autism don't have it hard enough. Then there are morons like you who think it is a behavioral disorders or they can "cure it" makes these parents feel like they have failed. You have failed as a compassionate human being. Go sit in a classroom for kids with autism who have significant needs and then tell me it's because of poor parenting1
ASteacherinAZ 5 months ago
@PinotVino you are so ignorant it's sad. What a shame that with a disorder of 1-150 possibly being diagnosed there are still ignorant people like you that don't bother to research or talk to someone who has a child on the spectrum to really understand it before opening up their big mouth.
miamirox99 3 months ago
That's being autistic? She's just having fun, and being weird like every other kid.
StrangerNReality 6 months ago
@StrangerNReality What neurotypical child do you knwo who can spin like that and not fall down? It is because of her vestibular system being out of whack that she is able to do that.
ASteacherinAZ 5 months ago
@ASteacherinAZ Not falling down is a defect to you?
StrangerNReality 5 months ago
@ASteacherinAZ So would it be safe to assume that ballerinas and ice skaters have out of whack vestibular systems as well?

>all because they see the world through different eyes... its not somthing that needs changed... or cured.. the world just needs to open its eyes to us, and see things from ours side of the sepctrum as much as we try to see from the non autistic side and we do try.... besides whats "normal"..?? there is no such thing as "normal" the world would be a boring place if we all thought the same and acted the same now wouldnt it. she is a true gem to be treasured. best wishes as always x:)
AliaETorrie 7 months ago
this is a gift. not a disability, just a different way of life. a different "wiring" of the brain should we say. people find this weird, imagine how weird the world looks to us on the spectrum. i believe there is a creative genius in this girl. Nothing wrong with her at all Autism is a gift in many ways, without it i think the world would be a boring and unproductive place. speilberg (the director) is on the spectrum with Aspergers, look at the films he makes! so many great people.>

SoloDarkness55 7 months ago
@your computer expert- maybe you should stop screaming. Consider that, perhaps, this person knows their child, and knows things you do not.
cmyers5 7 months ago
How is this autism, stop screaming your kid has autism! She is just having fun!!! STOP IT! DONT. LABEL. YOUR. KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
YourComputerExpert 7 months ago
@YourComputerExpert I'm Aspergers, on the spectrum too and trust me, this woman knows her child... this was also very much me as a child... im happy with the way i am.. and im sure that this girls mother and the girl is happy with the way she is... why would we want a cure? we just want acceptance for who we are, and no she is not lableing her child, she is merely stating a fact!.. so kindly do not scream at someone who is just trying to make the world understand what its so niave about. thanx
AliaETorrie 7 months ago
These kids have more creativity then most children,or even adults.

I just want him to manage it.
pluckysongs 8 months ago
Yes, but how is she when you ask her to do something? Does she do it or does she have a complete meltdown? Does she engage in any social activity? Being on the spectrum trust me, it does need a cure. I hope any1 would accept your child, but HER life would be easier w/out it. She lives in a world where it's soooo darn hard to understand ppl.

If this autism than autism is very very RETARDED.
mcarnteydied 10 months ago
@mcarnteydied Proud of yourself? Find a parent of a child on the spectrum and tell them to their face their kid is retarded - just have an ambulance on standby. You never know, one day you may grow up and qualify for the human race.

mcarnteydied 9 months ago
@egnbigdave well said mate.. some people are just so niave and incredibly immature. Thank you. i really dont know how anyone can post something so unbelievebly conceited and horrible.
AliaETorrie 7 months ago
@egnbigdave You can't assume that all parents of autistic children are violent people just because they had a retard son, that's an offensive generalization.
A lot of parents of healthy children would react violently when told their son is a retard, as well as a lot of parents of autistic children would not on the same situation. Please try not to fall on simplistic and lineal deductions like "their son is a retard, ergo they'll punch you in the face if you dare to point it out"..
UntakenNick 7 months ago
@UntakenNick I have an Autistic Five year old daughter. So I am speaking from experience. If you would like something more "linear and simplistic", please refrain from using language in an attempt to imply sophistcation or moral superiority on your behalf. So, you by implication consider the term "retarded" to be inoffensive I take it, when applied to a child that has not a mental "retardation" but communication and language difficulties.
egnbigdave 7 months ago
@mcarnteydied how can you be so niave and incredibly brutal to say something so confounded &immature! this is part of autism. And by the way I am also on the spectrum too. And yes i was very much like this as a child. i have a very high IQ and have top marks in most things especially creative industries. Dare to call all that retarded. This young girl no doubt will have a level of intelligence to challenge yours some day . open your eyes and please stop being one who creates an unfair lable!
AliaETorrie 7 months ago
@mcarnteydied I have asperger's syndrome (a form of autism) and I think you're an idiot. besiedes, she's a little kid.
avalanchesuperstar 5 months ago
@mcarnteydied have you ever watched jurassic park? or jaws? or indiana jones? cause those wouldnt exist if it werent for as you say "retards". you are saying that Albert Einstein, steven speilberg, abraham Lincoln, alexander bell and plenty of others, including myself, are retards??? honestly all that i can say is "you poor ignorant bastard." even a child can discern that you have some problems, just from looking at these comments.
jackleincognito 5 months ago
@jackleincognito not to mention the greatest scientist that ever lived. Nikola Tesla. If he were around today, he would without a shred of doubt, be diagnosed with high functioning autism.
ampikine 4 months ago
I believe that people on the lower end of the spectrum can become high functioning by mental training. I used to be terrible with words, I could barely put a sentence together, let alone express my thoughts. Nowadays it seems to come naturally to me. It was after years of struggling to be able to word out my thoughts that my brain seems to have wired itself in a way that lets me do it with ease.

@mcarnteydied Than Einstein must have been a very clever retard.
