Did you know you can skip the mandatory Missile Expansion in Sector 3 and kill the blue barrier by using a well-placed horizontal Shinespark? That's right, 0% runs are poissible.

I used to think yakuza was hard until i just wall jumped over him every time he came, and nightmare used to be super hard to me until i started using the green piercing beam against him. yes'm. although now someone's found that if you time jumps to within pixel perfect (ie tool-assisted) you can get a Shinespark so you can get past the Super Missile-X Border, thereby skipping the mandatory missile expansion. The best part is the B.O.X. can be destroyed with 10 Missiles. I'd link it, but YouTube's odd with that. It's on YouTube, just search "skipping the mandatory missile expansion", it'll turn up. Watch and be amazed!

Yakuza Isnt really all that hard.. You just have to be quick on your feet and stay out of his way. You can get most of the damage out of the way in the begining when he spits fire for the first time.

what happened to me when i bought the game was really funny. Apperantly it was used and somebody had gotten this far. Of course I was a total noob (which i still am :]) and didn't know shit about metroid, so when i popped it on i was like, "god damn it, this is the hardest game ever invented", after 30 hours of trying i finally got to Jakuza only to fail miserably. I stopped playing the game for 3 months until i happened to erase the file by accident and i went like "ohhh, im a fucking idiot"

Dude........ When I first played the game, I lost to this guy multiple times. I finally beat him when my brother told me how. That's right, i didn't have a clue how to beat this guy at first. Then it took me 3 more tries after that to finally beat him. The Nightmare I beat in 2 tries. He was easy. Now, today, my record of beating Yakuza was with 6 energy tanks and even then it was a challenge! You ARE this game!

I must say that trick with a charge beam and a missile hitting at the same time is interesting.

I've beaten him on the single missile expansion run but my technique is a little different. I stay in the corner duck and angle fire. I've tried doing what I've read online and that actually wasn't working because he kept crashing into me and most of the charge beams I would fire would hit him during "His screw attack" if you know what I mean.

SA-X is easy, you just need to work up a pattern instead of shooting at him and jumping over him.

Ridley can be hard if you use the missile strategy, but with Charge Beams he's mincemeat in about 1 minute.

Nightmare is annoying as hell and this guy...is too. XD But with this strategy, you can almost definitely make it 10x easier.

He also hit Yakuza with the full force of wave beam twice, instead of just the middle section, trust me I've tested it jumping and hitting guarentees full hit, and yeah I tested it I had a few days where I had nothing better to do so mastered kicking bosses around

Haha! DK64 for the win! Yeah, it took me forever to figure out how to beat that dude (I am still not sure why...). My friend who basically played the first half of the game for me hadn't figured it out yet either...I was so proud of myself when I figured it out first, since he owned the game for about a year before I did.

Yeah, this guy was pretty hard first time around...took me a couple shots.

He's still hard, but I can beat him in one try unless I get especially careless.
