the horse is perfectly fine with it. i think she knows her girl very well and trusts her that she won't do anything stupid with. she's just having fun (carefully stepping on the back and not jumping) and her horse is watching out for her. i like it =)

@bellie853 I have seen people running to the backside of their horse and glomp to the hind and the horse wouldn't even move an ear but just look bored. I have seen horses who would attack humans to get away from them. If you are around your horse every day for an extended timespan you know what your horse does and doesn't like and accept and the horse knows you don't mean harm, even if you behave silly. It's called trust.

Horses are our play toys and if they are bred right and trained right they will do well to stay here on earth enjoying us as much as we do them. I knew this same joy of commraderie with my horses 40 years ago and it brings shear pleasure when I see a good horse and a person who truly knows thier horse so well. .

I'm impressed that your horse stood still for that. He or she is obviously a fabulous horse! There's really no harm in having a little fun with your horse as long as you know they will tolerate it, but I would have suggested having someone hold him/her the first few times just to see how he/she reacted.

In fact, both of my horses are rescues and at the moment they're probably happier than they've ever been. I don't abuse any of my animals and I've NEVER used spurs or such. @weedluvertou Ok and sorry to say about America's as i have friends over there. yh but when you see some get kicked in the face and die its not nice and there horses was like yours quite and calm ect and she was wearing a helmet too, and no if you look up how saddles are made there made to site on the strong points of the back where pressure doesn't effect there movement, and you should have a saddle made to fit for each horse and a back person out every 6-7 months to see if there back is ok

@13horselvr her horse is not 'Spastic' it was just excited and became disunited, this happens to most competition horses when schooled as they become more highly strung. Also, her and her horse are wuite good jumpers, they make few honest mistakes here and there, but who doesn't.
What you do with your horse is good, but remember the safety aspects, ALWAYS wear a hat, and ALWAYS have someone hold the pony. If she spooked that could have been a serious accident.

@SittingExtendedTrot well as someone who trains competition horses for other people I can safely say 8/10 horses become excited and act that way. I there is a 'good' jumper, people who keep their leg in the correct position, don't pull and yank on the horses mouth, or throw the reins at their horse, sit quietly and use their leg only when needed. thats a GOOD jumper.

If you were actually watching the video and not thinking about what horrible things you could say to 13horselvr, you would have noticed that the horse didn't even flick her ears back. She doesn't mind at all, and if this had been hurting her, then she would have moved. But some people have nice horses that never kick and they can do all sorts of stuff with them. Me and my friend do this and more with our horses, and they love getting out of the ring and having fun. ;-)

Yes, but for some they almost never do. We have a 25 year old mare and she hasn't kicked in 10 years, no matter what we are doing. What I meant was that some horses never kick at humans no matter what they are doing. Yes, they would kick if they wanted to, but they do not.

@showjumpingchick1994 By the looks of your videos your "spastic" horse can't go over poles either and considering that jumping is yalls main area thats pretty sad. Also on your bad riding video i bet your horses mouth was sore for weeks considering you ripped the bit through his mouth then threw all your weight on his neck. Oh and just because you have "spastic" horses that you can't have fun with and do cool tricks doesn't make me a bad person because i can. Don't hate because your jealous. ;)

@showjumpingchick1994 Actually we have are a hell lot smarter than you think, and in fact no, I don't constantly think of food, abuse, and wars. In fact, both of my horses are rescues and at the moment they're probably happier than they've ever been. I don't abuse any of my animals and I've NEVER used spurs or such. I stand on my horses all the time and they dont give a damn. If your trying to say its dangerous, you could have said it a HELL LOT NICER.

@weedluvertou Ok and sorry to say about America's as i have friends over there. yh but when you see some get kicked in the face and die its not nice and there horses was like yours quite and calm ect and she was wearing a helmet too, and no if you look up how saddles are made there made to site on the strong points of the back where pressure doesn't effect there movement, and you should have a saddle made to fit for each horse and a back person out every 6-7 months to see if there back is ok

@13horselvr her horse is not 'Spastic' it was just excited and became disunited, this happens to most competition horses when schooled as they become more highly strung. Also, her and her horse are wuite good jumpers, they make few honest mistakes here and there, but who doesn't.
What you do with your horse is good, but remember the safety aspects, ALWAYS wear a hat, and ALWAYS have someone hold the pony. If she spooked that could have been a serious accident.

@SittingExtendedTrot well as someone who trains competition horses for other people I can safely say 8/10 horses become excited and act that way. I there is a 'good' jumper, people who keep their leg in the correct position, don't pull and yank on the horses mouth, or throw the reins at their horse, sit quietly and use their leg only when needed. thats a GOOD jumper.

I play like this all the time with my mare and she couldn't care less. Yes, horses are athletes, but they do have to have a bit of fun don't ya think? I school my horse by the book and treat he like an athlete then, but when I want to have fun and have BOND I do...shows mean nothing to horses.

If you were actually watching the video and not thinking about what horrible things you could say to 13horselvr, you would have noticed that the horse didn't even flick her ears back. She doesn't mind at all, and if this had been hurting her, then she would have moved. But some people have nice horses that never kick and they can do all sorts of stuff with them. Me and my friend do this and more with our horses, and they love getting out of the ring and having fun. ;-)

Yes, but for some they almost never do. We have a 25 year old mare and she hasn't kicked in 10 years, no matter what we are doing. What I meant was that some horses never kick at humans no matter what they are doing. Yes, they would kick if they wanted to, but they do not.
