awesome song, I remember previous year in my school, they were holding a talent show for the students, I remember competing there with this version of Everything. At first I was scared for going on stage but when I came up I relaxed, and I started to sing. I sang from the heart and everyone was gaping. When I finished the jury gave me the best points and I won!! I sang it in front of 1000 people just staring at me, but I gave them the best I could!!

I couldn't possibly choose between this version and the original. While the original has that amazing build-up that eventually leads to the ultimate moment of goosebumps for me, I simply get those goosebumps from the intro in this version. I think it's the magic of the song. I can listen to it over and over again and just fall more and more in love with it every single time.

The original song is what got Jason noticed. This song rocked then, rocks now and will always rock giving you goosebumps feel because this song explains a feeling that not everyone will experience.

Pros and Cons...

Pros: Sounds less depression, but enough to show emotions, but the original one show full emotional and the beat is slower. Drums, I actually liked it.

Cons: Techno sounds... kinda killed it. His voice, it is kinda weird for some reason, can't really tell you whats wrong with it.

Overall, it is still a really good song with a different kind of beat depending on what on your mood.

This version is perfect for acting out the everything skit. The beginning is much darker and better portrays the struggle that the girl is going through until she comes back to the Lord. And the ending portrays a brighter victory over Satan! :)

Still nice rendition but Lifehouse's version is way better because of Wade's emotions. Understandable too because he's the one who wrote it so he knows what emotions to convey.

Ummm they are both Lifehouse. Jason Wade is singing both of them. One is live..ones is polished. Also about 10 years separates the recordings. The live one sounds more raw...it's just a run straight through. The old version is perfect because it's a made to sound that way...taking out all the stuff that you probably hear in the live that makes it "not perfect". Also the new one uses more guitar and drums, the old one had a sting piece I believe.

I like the original better than this one. The original version is so calm and peaceful and that gives me gooseflesh. Until Jason starts singing with his entire soul... the music gets louder and well.. You all know what I mean, right? I think that's the most beautiful part of the song and this version doesn't have that. I really miss that.

I like this version as well, I just think the other one's more beautiful. But that's just my opinion.

@MusicMar93 that would be called, musicality. it doesn't have musicality, because it was processed in the studio. often the producers will sacrifice things such as dynamics for pitches and convenience of the listener...in my personal opinion, the art should be left alone. I think singers/musicians/artists whatever that want to make CD's should learn how to do some of the stuff on their own so that it isn't lost

Funny thing is, I find this version better than the original. The goosebumps begin at the very first note, which gives me a feeling I cannot describe that plays through the entire song. I fell in love with the original version because of the combination in music and lyrics, fast and slow. And this version brings over the emotion so much stronger, IMHO. I always say that Everything is not a song, it is a emotion and every version truly brings live to my statement. It remains perfect.
