Believe it or not, but I was one of the beta testers of this game, it sucked, it was full of bugs, the fighting system was broken, the graphics glitched constantly, the game looked nice but was horrible to play, the worst game ever!

Fighting Evolution was almost playable compared to this piece of shit.

@809Ollie The game was in its latest beta stage, it being abysmal at this point is what made Capcom take the final decision, from what I recall some characters composed mostly of wire-frame, little was left.

Capcom's financial troubles at the time were what really caused it to be canned. The thought was, if the game didn't survive the beta testing, they'd can it. So they did and made CFE instead which had a much smaller budget.

@ the time being this game would have been great even as a throwback game now I would be playing this. SFEX series looked nothing like this game, this game looked far better and compared to 1996,1997 and 200 when the EX games were made, this game was 2002 and capcom wanted to taeke that next step

The fact that they canceled it wasn't my problem (I would have liked to play it though). My problem was that they never used these characters ever again in future games (Haggar, Akira, the two other new charcacters. They even used Ingrid ONCE).

But why are people so sensitive about SF being 3D? SSFIV is a good game, and SFEX wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. The soundtrack and characters were definitely the best part of SFEX.

People saying "SF should be 2d" seems clichéd as hell now.

i couldnt agree more, capcom made sf4 a 2.5d game using the same gameplay as SSFII turbo and people are still complaining, jesus they havent made a street fighter game in 10 years, and people bitch about this game and they didnt appreciate capcoms effort to bring street fighter back after a painful wait or something, i hope im not the only one who enjoys SSFIV.

they hated D.D.(that red Elvis looking guy) and

Rook (the benimaru & remy looking guy) they said

they were to Flamboyant/gay looking so that's why only Ingrid made it to Capcom Evolution/fighting jam

and Street fighter alpha 3 max.

This game was called all stars cuz it had most of the

stars from the capcom Series.
