I really appreciate this kind of music - a magnificent combination of classical and rock music supported by genious Ton Scherpenzeel (Kayak/Camel). There's nothing better like this one, not even Ekseption or Sky.
For those who didn't know yet: the whole KaJeM thing was a joke from Klaas Jan Mulder in his younger years. It's a pretty good joke and actually not that badly performed either :-)
Toch grappig dat er organisten zijn zoals klaas Jan Mulder, die hun tijd hierin stoppen in plaats van het schrijven van bewerkingen van psalmen... is toch grappig?? ik ben zelf over zoiets altijd positief!!
Dit is volgens mij het 1e Kajem filmpje op YouTube en ik moet zeggen, dat dit echt gewaagd geweest is van Klaas Jan Mulder en dat waardeer ik wel in hem.
Ik heb echt genoten van deze muziekstijl en draai nog regelmatig 1 van de 5 cd's van Kajem. Geweldig goed gedaan !!!
Helaas is er met Klaas een zeer gewaardeerde organist/ dirigent/ componist heengegaan.
Ik zal met veel mooie herinneringen terugdenken aan deze muziek, maar ook aan de vele orgel cd, welke ik van hem heb staan.
C'est vrai que c'est quand même "détendant" joué comme ça ... même si sur un vrai beau Grand Orgue Symphonique (les batteries en moins ... mais pas trop de Mixtures Classiques à la place ...) ça soulève pas mal plus; pourquoi ne pas essayer de la jouer comme ça plus souvent ? Enfin merci quand même à Klaas Jan Mulder pour s'être prêté au jeu ! RIP JW
What a ghastly arrangement of Widor's Toccata for 'PIPE' organ. The drums add nothing but chaos to the ensemble, and who is playing the 'tune' because the organist on the organ bench isn't even using his feet!! A mystery indeed.
Sorry Fredstube but the guitarist might be playing a kind of related tune but the pedal line is most definitely the sound of an electric organ and the organist is not playing with his feet. In fact looking very closely, I reckon they are all miming to the piece. It is being vamped. What a scam!!
So you can whine about anything. This was neat for what it was worth.. :)
Oh, as far as the mystery goes.. I think it's sort of supposed to be a videoclip (the equivalent of what today would look like some half-naked niggaz dancing in a ghetto) - which I believe was not supposed to look 'live' to begin with. May be just me though :P

Ik kon al wat werk van Kajem. Dit echter niet.
Ik moet wel zeggen dat ik dit een heel appart nummer vind, maar wel goed gespeeld!
Bovendien was deze man, en dat is ook te zien, een goed toetsenist!
