I got the replacement lenses from TrikToys, the same place where you got the costume. All it is is a plastic sheet with a template that is the WRONG shape, meaning that after you cut it out, it's impossible to fit in. Did you get replacement lenses for the mask?

@Toni112007 It has been 3 years since the purchase of this costume. I wanted to do ROTS Darth Vader and without 501st experience, I bought this for approval. Later-on I began modifying it and is now approved for over 2 years. You can see the approved costume in it's early state in my other video.

It's pretty stupid that people don't change the costume to accommodate the century, the costume was made this way because of the time and limited imagination of the people back then, it shouldn't be a problem today. The suit needs a reboot into this century, it's not the 70's, we don't even use those buttons to operate machinery, even less to stick them in cloths.

One of my teachers had this costume in his class back in highschool. he had it standing near the front of the class with its arms folded in a menacing manner. it was a tradition for him to wear it the last day of school every year and walk down the halls in it.

Also because of the size of the helmet you're only gonna look silly and that's not what anyone want. Especially in size comparisson.

@Nuva911 The helmet is oversized but if your big you won't tell. The lenses are the most dangerous part of the costume, they make everything blurry. You can replace them with better ones from triktoys. The y pop out very easily.

@Nuva911 No prob. It gets very hot in the stock bodysuit. It's synthetic and doesn't breathe. I recommend replacing it with a real leather one. A big change I can tell you ^^

But im wondering if the costume cracks/dents easily from it's plastic making. Do you know if this costume can resist cracks/dents easily if it's brand new?

@Nuva911 It will get scratched and trust me, to get it to crack you need a lot of force to do it. I would be carefull with the dome though. The belt boxes are made out of another kind of plastic, much more solid then the chest and shin armor. These will crack when it hits the ground with force and probably from face height too.

@Nuva911 It has a breathing device mounted in the face mask and on the instructions a cable running to the hand. The only downside is that the button is a push-and-hold button and not an on/off button. It's easily replacable though.

@dehve86 At first he needs to look like him like in the movie. Real leather or pleather is your personal choice so it doesn't influence the approval. The helmet is the biggest issue. change this with a better one and do some picture studying. If you buy the suit and trying for approval it won't work. Everyone can do this.

There's nothing ridiculous about this at all - I love it! The Rubies Supreme Vader costume, although not quite up to 501st Legion standards, will pass for membership in The Dark Empire dark side costume club, which is a smaller but also a Lucasfilm recognized fan group.

@lordbruticus Thanks for the non-judging comment. This video is rather old as I modified this costume to join the 501st, wich I did. You can see the approved costume in the other video. Although it has changed quite a bit, in a good way, since my membership.
