  • Filtration doesnt look so good and the water level is so low why he cant even go vertical

  • are they liukely to fall out of the tank? Is that why the water level is low?

  • LOL it looks like a sock puppet! BTW......How big was it when you bought it because at Pet Supermarket they are selling "Snowflake Morray Eels" that are 5 inches. long and they cost $25.00 Please Reply!!!

  • @FLIPminoman Sorry I just noticed the comment. It was about 5-6 inches when I got it. I think I spent about the same too. Very Cool pets.

  • @mattheath17 Cool THX.......so they are like puffer fish? When they are babies they live in freshwater...then when they get older in brackish..........and then finally in salt?

  • Bell'esemplare di echidna. fantastic.

  • lol its an eel that eats vegies

  • that is some nasty water...were you doing a water change? I hope its better off now in a clean tank

  • Are these very hard to take care of and can they be in freshwater

  • They are salt water fish and I believe they are a bit difficult to maintain, but that is because they are salt water fish. I've never actually owned one, but I do my research.

  • obviously they're saltwater and as far as salt water goes they're incredibly easy to take care of except seal off any possible exit... they're escape artists

  • what are you feeding him i just got one

  • He was eating seaweed here

  • Nice I was wondering what you are feeding your snowflake eel. I have just purchased one.

  • what are you feeding him?? looks like jerky lol.

  • Yes snowflakes are fun eels. I have 1 with a lionfish in a 30g tank and he's a good 12 inches. You really should try and give it more protein and MAKE SURE that your lid is on very tightly i had a green moray escape from my 125g tank =(

  • neeeeeeeed help im not sure y but my green terror killed my ropefihs and my violet goby should i get a big moay or will they fight?/??please send me meassage ii also have 3 small cichlids all nice grpoup but green terror mean!please

  • o ok thanx man thats usefull info because im always stressing because i would never want my eel to escape and die on the floor

  • be carefull man i have a feeling you dont have the tank filled up sp it doesnt get out but my local fish store learned the hard way that they can get a quarter of there body outa water so be carfull id hate for it get out

  • they don't always try to escape, i fill my tank all the way to the top, mine never tried to escape, if your tank has good hidin spots and such they'll stay in it, but if your tank is ghetto and small they'll try to creep.

  • that thing is a beast

  • that's awesome.. had a snowflake eel wrap around my arm while snorkeling in Hawaii..

    Post more videos

  • Does any one now if a jaw fish and a goby will cope with a snowflake moray and maybe a cleaner warrase

  • nope

  • thats highly unlikley unless your snowflake is the size of them i had a snowflake with a green mandarin and he never botherd it at all but my green mandarin died because my solenity rose randomly up to like 1.028

  • mines about the same size...once in a while i go scening in the bay and get ghost shrimp

  • do you cover the top??if yes wif what?tanx

  • yes

  • like i said a few post back, this was taken during a water change which is why water is so low

  • how bigs the tank

  • 55 gallon

  • what kind of fish did your eel eat? I want to have one in a 90g.

  • ummmm......morays are all carnivorous, maybe you should feed him some protein, I can't believe he is hungry enough to eat seaweed!!!

  • Cool ell cute kid

  • aquascaping looks superb

  • This was done during a water change, thus the low water level, but yes, I need to clean the glass more often lol

  • how often do you feet? every day? and how old is your moray?

  • I've had him for about 4 years now. so he's probably about 4.5 - 5 years old. I feed him when he's hungry LOL. He hides in rock most of the time but when he's out more than usual swimming around I take that as my cue to feed him

  • Do you have other fish´s in your aqua?

  • I have had other fish in the past with him, but went through a spell were he was eating his tank mates, even ones that were supposed to be safe. Then the ones remaining I sold off when we moved to our new home. At the moment it is just the eel and a green brittle starfish.

  • seems to be true, but he seems to mostly be hunting food when he's out, so i take that as my cue thats its feeding time. Also it will probably depend on what else is in the tank with him

  • 6-8 months sounds about right. It's like your kids though, I didn't notice him getting bigger because i saw him everyday LOL.

  • four years!!! how big is he and how large is his tank? i have a 11 1/2" one right now in a 29.

  • Yeah, he is eating seaweed here. He eats pretty much whatever we put in the tank from flake to seaweed to krill, etc. Must be working as I've had him for close to 4 years now. I'll post new videos soon. The tank was looking pretty rough here due to water change. Matt

  • beautiful eel...i have one myself. are you feeding him/her seaweed??? ithot they were carnivorous. he is beautiful all the same

  • He eats flake, seaweed, brine shrimp, other fish, (UGH) and whatever is handy LOL. noticed him going after the flake and seaweed when I was feeding other fish one day, so now it's mixed into his diet.
