Would you be able to give me a template on your star roller? Or even the parts you used? I recently made a star roller, and it's just not working out, and I see your roller makes incredible stars, so I would love to know, but if you can't that's fine.
@pyrogirl1985 Hey! I am sorry i have no templates for this. I used scrap metal i had and the bucket is just a random bucket with salt i had. The motor is a windshield wiper motor from a car. If you like i could measure the bucket and take some pictures. If you use a similar type motor with the same diameter bucket you will probably have the same results as mine.
I would love if you could take some pictures with it, and I was wondering did you use a bearing, I'm trying to find one that allows my bucket to be a bit more smooth when it's rolling my stars.
@pyrogirl1985 No i don't use a bearing. The bucket is connected directly on the motor shaft. I will take pics when i visit my house on the village (that's where i keep my stuff). There is no need to keep it fully smooth because some rumbling might be usefull.
Could someone please tell me what are theses stars? I'm not even sure what I'm looking at other than something that looks like pearls. Can someone tell me what the end product is used for? Is this like a ball mill? and anyone have a link to where I get get more info on this?
these stars r used in fireworks,it makes those rain effects.this is like a ball mill it turns,but the ball mill makes the bp, this machine makes the stars for the fireworks
Very nice roller! How do you wet your stars? just spray some water? and than throw some of you composition in? Im now still rolling bij hand but soon I will make one of these myself just need to find a bucket witch the wright size :D
cover the ball in glassfiber glue. leave top uncoated.
destroy the ball, remove it, there is your perfect round bowl.
i put a screw in the centre with the bolt sticking out the back, and then i put it in the drill. haha. i have to keep holding it but i dont care. works peeeerfect. ROUND mofo's.
It works as it is. I think because of the plastic bucket. It doesn't clump if you use right amount of solvent. I'll make a new vid soon, better quality.
if you can, could you make a tutorial on how to make a star rolling machine because ive been searching allot for how to make one and one has ever written one, or at least make a video on how urs runs?
Hi , I have a question , Why my stars crack when it's dry?
I thinks it's the cores (couscous) , it inflate..
I use TT with 75/25 H2O/Alcohol
hexamine2012 8 months ago
@hexamine2012 Yes you are right. All pasta have this problem. You can try with bird seeds as i am doing here.
You can even use small stars as cores
leosedf 8 months ago
@leosedf but the bird seeds (millet) it's not heavy ... It's very difficult for make a stars I think

@hexamine2012 Two screws (nuts) and two metal plates.
leosedf 8 months ago
@leosedf thanks :)
hexamine2012 8 months ago
@leosedf thanks :) and what did you use for the cores of the star?
hexamine2012 8 months ago
@hexamine2012 Bird seed mostly because it's cheap. Begginers use heavier cores like lead shots etc.
leosedf 8 months ago
@leosedf it's very good for the stars?
hexamine2012 8 months ago
@hexamine2012 It's fine:)

k where did you -325 mesh aluminium? and whats the motor you're using? and i was thinking of using the pellets of pottasium nitrate to start them.
bleam6 11 months ago
@bleam6 I bought it. The motor is a windshield wiper motor. Makes perfecr rollers. You can use any pellet you want as long you are satisfied.
leosedf 11 months ago
@ScooterfunPL This is nitrate white

@buckwheatrules they are way too big as proper cores.. and try to avoid plastic in fireworks!

You use them in fireworks, when the shells explodes they are the things that glow or make the effects in the sky.

You mean Torro paste! I know but i am not familliar with the viscosity of the mix and the quantity needed. I will experiment sometime on my next vid.
leosedf 4 years ago
try using wet mixture instead of the spraybottle. Works better after some practice, and LESS bumpy stars.
also less dust etc.

i made a good one, very simple.
buy a cheap plastic beachball.
buy a glassfiber pasting/construction kit.
cover the ball in glassfiber glue. leave top uncoated.
destroy the ball, remove it, there is your perfect round bowl.
i put a screw in the centre with the bolt sticking out the back, and then i put it in the drill. haha. i have to keep holding it but i dont care. works peeeerfect. ROUND mofo's.

KraftPaper you can also use a Balloon, it has the ideal shape an you can remove it easily. Just pop it.
