Not understanding human behaviour (humor, or otherwise) makes you waste time and resources on non-threats. My theory is that it would have looked bad on some turned-in paperwork, if they had held you so long and then had to admit that they were wrong. I think these people do a lot of face-saving.

Thanks Ryan. I think it's true that some pain never really leaves and you just have to learn to carry it with you on your back until it becomes a part of you and you accept it as such. There is nothing worse in life then learning to live with that new self.

I'm glad your story is getting out. What happened to you was an abysmal breakdown of what the system is supposed to do. That it did something like this to someone completely innocent is criminal IMO.

I'm sorry things didn't work out with Shannon, but I'm glad you were finally able to be together for at least a little while.

It's a good interview. Did you loose your money on the flight and if so how did the interview leave out such disappointing information? Also, after all your experience with having information suspected and interrogated for not being true, I found it surprising that you decided to lie about the reason for your girlfriends trip to Australia.5*'s regardless.

See the thing about pre recorded radio is it's edited down and a lot of elaboration is either often cut out completely or not able to be properly explained. Shannon actually got through here fine without being asked anything but we had discussed that if she was asked why she was here that she would say it was to see my sister. Considering what happened to me in Detroit once an internet relationship was unearthed one would be a fool not to have learned from that.

I would go as far as recommending anyone faced with the situation I was in to conceal in everyway possible their internet relationship from authorities. It will not be understood or easily classified. As much as some of us have been raised to believe, honesty as I have learned is not always the best policy. It will not always be rewarded and will more often instead be used against you.

Also to answer your other question, I lost close to $6k on the trip if you consider I paid for the international flight there and back, domestic flights unable to be used, unused health insurance, pre-booked accommodation.. List goes on.
