  • One of the best songs ever written...

  • right!! who done it?? what utter cretin disliked this awesomeness?? show your face! twat

  • @75scoocher i'm assuming it's some chav neck deep in beer cans and prostitutes

  • This video was just added to a music playlist at JustPlay.fm

  • seriously i think its sad that i heard grounds of divorce through a videogame (left for dead) but hey im still happy it opened me up to such great music

  • @ZAMNman Aye? Where was it in the game?

  • Wow never realised this album was so good, just bought the album on Amazon ... result.

  • this song makes my heart sing in the saddest way possible.. amazing.. i love it. :)

  • I listened to this song a lot when I was reading "Less Than Zero." It fit so perfectly.

  • very depressing and sad song.

really good. one of my favourite songs and maybe one of the best ones ever.

  • I never knew what this song was or who it was by, but it always made me cry whenever I happened to hear it.

Still true, even now that I've found it.

  • i just got this albumn it rocks!! what are other good elbow albumns? (this is the only one i know)

what is the next best one.

  • Well each one is a bit different! 'Cast of Thousands' is more on par with 'Asleep in the Back' in terms of style and came after this one, so it might be the next one to get if you like this sound. 'Leaders of the Free World' moves away from that slightly, and is personally one of my favs-look up 'Mexican Standoff', 'The Stops' and 'Great Expectations' (one of the most beautiful songs ever written/recorded) on here for a taster! 'Seldom Seen Kid'...

  • ...is in another league- different again, no two songs similar in style, just a gorgeous album. Get the live version-much better than the studio one!

So you're spoilt for choice really!! Their music is progressive in terms of the sound on each one. Knock yourself out!

  • @MissSheepgobaa alright thanks. I might go for 'cast of thousands' first.

  • its a mystery to me why elbow songs work. Some of them are quite simple, but for some reason i love them! Like the chorus in this song. Perfect example

(you burn too bright, you live too fast).

  • the concert for amazing

  • great song ,cant wait to see them and coldplay tomorrow

  • Beautiful song from a brilliant band. Love it.

  • love this song!!love it love it love it!! love Elbow!

  • i could go through this song all day long n never get sick of it !!

  • I've just spent about 2 hours going through every Elbow video on YouTube (I have no life whatsoever) and I swear I have yet to see one single negative comment. Hell, I haven't seen a lukewarm comment! You either love Elbow or REALLY love Elbow. What the hell is up with that?

I think I'm borderline obsessive over them myself.

  • Yer tellin' me! I've lost all touch with reality. I can't listen to anything else. And I need to listen to other things. NPR? Nope, Elbow. I haven't been this obsessed by a band since I was a teenager. WTF?!?!?

    Damn you Elbow!!!!!!

    = )

  • @Bartleby1701 Hell, I'm 60 and in the same boat. It is so bloody rare for any band to interest me after near 50 years of serious listening but Elbow blow me away. Before Elbow it was Radiohead and before that, U2. I'd never heard of Elbow until the BBC/Choir concert broadcast about a year ago. It's my style to leave an interesting album for a year then by it if I'm still interested. Instead, I waited 1 year and bought ALL their CDs. I've never done that before!!

  • @RatherLargeAllan i discovered elbow about half ayear ago. They are one of my fave bands now. I love all 4 albumns.

  • @RatherLargeAllan Same im still amazed how unknown Elbow are, its a crime when you think about it. I just hope the next album might be number 1 in the Uk would be nice because they've struggled to become as big as they deserve.

  • @RatherLargeAllan Try some porcupine tree stuff. I love that one too.

  • A new favourite.

This band can do no wrong.

  • @MissSheepgobaa hi! So i just bought asleep in the back, rockign albumn! its the only elbow albumn i know, what is another good albumn i should buy?

(thought i would write someone personally to increase chance of a response!)

  • Have replied to the wrong comment here! See above for my response!!

  • @Simon0 they're all pretty good. The Seldom Seen Kid is probably the one you want to get straight away mate.

  • yeah thats the next one i got! its a very good albumn but i think asleep in the back is better. once i have listened to these two a lot im gonna get their other albumns..

  • @Simon0 - I'd go in chronological order from AITB. So, Cast of Thousands, Leaders, then Seldom Seen Kid. It's coincidentally also alphabetical order, so that's the order they play on my MP3 player and it works well for me.

  • awesome song :)

    thankyou for uploading it :)
